  • what the hell this isnt on my live in Gdansk dvd looks like here in Australia we got boned

  • What's really impressive to me is that he can get his tone out of seemingly any stringed instrument.

  • Rip Wright It makes me so sad tht i will never see him live with gilmour, never will be the same

  • Guy Pratt knows how to make that Hofner sing..ah, so much better than the typical thump most players get out of it!

  • This reminds me of the GTA 3 opening song and I think is even in the same scale... I'm serious... If only GTA would have USED this instead HEHEHE

  • this is AWESOME . nb 3:15 !! thanks for posting this

  • hehe nobody can touch David, but his music most certainly touches us :)

  • Amazing sound, dave...

  • omg i love gilmour, every note he strikes is just the perfect note

  • These barn jams are off the David Gilmour "Live in Gdansk" album (disc 4)

  • does anyone know what ride the drummer is using?

  • omg this is sick.. 3:47 the sounds wow..

  • thx robobobo for sharing landmark guitarin' ;)

  • he has the best sound ever

  • the best of the 3 barn jams :P

  • amazing. brilliant.

  • 2:21 incredible slide action... so unpinkfloyd, so aged gilmour

  • Atom Heart Motherish... Love it!!!

  • It's so great that Wrights (with the help of his wife) got back into the band in the late 80's. I feel like it must have been tough for him after getting kicked out by Roger and having some personal issues. Seeing him with Gilmour on all of these sessions/performances is truly incredible, and I'm sure was a huge influence on Gilmour's great musical career since the end of Floyd.

  • Do you see the size of the heater in that room?? It's glowing like a radioactive meltdown. They must really be in a cold-ass barn!

    The song is excellent.

  • 4:25 until the end is sonic bliss

  • @TheALF333 no insulation in there.just wood lathe.

  • thank you for answering my question

  • Pink Floyd never came to Brazil, we Brazilians are sorry because we never seen Pink Floyd live here. But we love the sound of Floyd. I play guitar and drums and my greatest inspiration is Gilmour, Waters, Wright and Mason! It would be a dream playing with the master Gilmour.

    Gilmour rules.

VADILSON - BELO HORIZONTE CITY - BRAZIL

  • incredible

  • 3:28 - 3:35 : Shine On You Crazy Diamond! (part 2) :D

  • this is so cool when he looks at the pictures when he was still young, great moment :) David is a legend, i love that man

  • hauntingly beautiful

  • This is what slide guitar is supposed to sound like. Not that country bullshit slide sound, the bluesy and niddy griddy slide sounds that make the instrument trully emotive....

  • Here here. :-)

  • is that standard tuning for gilmour's steel?

  • wait nvrmnd lol no it isnt

  • is that nick mason on the drums?

  • no, its steve distipanoulus, the tour's official drummer

  • Nope, its the drummer from the On an Island tour: Steve DiStanislao

  • Of course, his housboat, Astoria, is his

major recording studio but this 200 year old barn near there is also so good.

Recently he just replaced the hulk on the houseboat so it is now out of drydock.

  • I meant to say the hull of his boat, not the hulk. lol

  • Emeralds, saphires, rubies and diamonds! I am starting to find them now. His studio is better than Sting's Cherrywood Studios in Italy. What a jazzy sound Rick has on this one.

  • STING ALSO RECORDED IN HIS CASTLE

  • This man (David Gilmour) made me love the sound of this little glass tube called "slide" with his performances on many albums, like "Live at Pompeii". And he made me practice with a glass slide on my acoustic guitar with so much pleasure.

  • Can I join you guys David?

  • Incredible, Jamming at its best.

  • its so awesome how david and richard stayed with eachother till the end despite all the others bullshit

  • happy birthday david, long live

  • *sigh i'm poor~

  • godly!!!!!

  • nobody can touch david gilmour....

  • @s1lvrinferno Only his wife can

  • @zulfiks LoooL,,, you are funny man,, really funny,

  • @s1lvrinferno poor guy

  • So much inspiration..

  • Ive been wanting to hear these. Thanks!

  • Just a jam and still better than anything else today :)

  • So true.

  • @jvandle

    Wilco... but yes you're right

  • @Berkules Love Wilco.

  • @jvandle Do you realize that we could spend the next 5 years trying to duplicate that sound 10 hours a day and never get there. They are just fooling around, nothing too serious.
