2030s: Um, everyone watches holographic videos like mad?

  • @simpsfutur lol...

  • I get the message, but what this movie DOESN'T tell you that with the right mind, this isn't necessarily true.

  • One of my favorite characters in the movie is getting sabotaged. 0:23 I Love how they were dancing! xD

  • @Jadeeisarobotyouknow i agree with you. The different music was sort of based of bands around in times.

  • Oh my God, Oompa Loompas as the Beatles.

  • Interesting Fact: Danny Elfman is the voice of all of the oompa loompas. They just change the pitch to make them sound different

    Mind.Blown.

  • the voice saying "it keeps imagination dead" sounds like spongebob!

  • he's the best! we're doing charlie and the chocolate factory play in my school and i'm playing his mom (we changed a few things- all the parents enter the factory and we have willy and wonka which are 2 diffarent people)

  • 0:59 oompa-loompa the beatles

  • I Love this and Mike He rocks!

  • "It Serves him right! *SPLAT*"

  • Deep Roy really did hard work in this movie!

  • This is your brain on drugs

  • lol the subtitles are Chinese xDD

  • i donno what you guys are complaining about, i think it is Suppose to be bizarely weird, and this is actually my fav song out of the rest of the songs.

  • I like Johnny Depp, and like some Tim Burton's film. But this was a God Awful movie. So sorry but Tim Burton you fucked up beyond all reasoning!

  • jesus christ this is terrible, fuck you tim burton.

  • 0:29 ROCK & ROLL!!!!

  • NAZI!! NAZI!!! NAZI!!! at 1:09 to 1:14

  • @deaths0ul94 do you know what a fucking Nazi is? Apparently not you faggot -.-

  • @21108ripHeath A Nazi was a German Soilder in the year 1939-1945 you tard, I don't even know what's your problem. Also that's what it sounds like you fucking tard.

  • @deaths0ul94 omg you're so smrt! lolzzz. Idiot - a Nazi is a member of the national socialist party, which existed long prior to 1939 and had nothing to do with the army. Not all German soldiers were Nazi's, and not all Nazi's were soldiers.

  • @dadsavage Yes, I am thank you!

  • @21108ripHeath

I think deaths0ul94 just notice because that sounds like word 'nazi'

  • No, that would be Norman Bates.

  • love the metal ompa lompa

  • This is my fave song out of the 4.

  • Much as I like how they actually where pretty accurate to the book in this remake, and did a pretty damn good job at that, an anti-TV rant in a movie that may very well be seen ON a TV is deliciously ironic.

  • Rock on Oompa Loompas. <3

  • BEST REMAKE EVER!

  • DANNY ELFMAN IS KING!!!!!

  • OMG At 0:17 his toes!

  • @Mario36Bros Her, it's a psyco parody.

  • i love how all the oomph loompas are played by one guy

  • 0:38....xaxaxaxaxaxaxa...!!!! best song in the movie

  • 0:58 is that a Beatles song? could someone tell me the title, please? thanks!

  • think i spotted justin haWKINS LOL

  • dude this song rocks rock on every one rock on

  • I swear, everytime that kid talked, I just wanted to stab him in the eye with a pencil!!

  • poor mike he must be scared

  • @KWoodsification Lol yeah i would be to till i see a Beatles Set i would go FUCK yeah!

  • The Nostalgia Critic actually found out what exactly these songs were meant to be. The songs for each of the four kids were homages to the past decades of music. Gloop was the 50's, Violet's was the 60's, Salt's was the 70's, and Mike's was the 80's.

  • @Emidretrauqe this sounds more like Queen in the 70s

  • @Emidretrauqe I think you got Violet and Salt mixed up; Disco was 70s. Folk was both, but more 60s. Cool observation, though.

  • @Emidretrauqe actully the Veruca was the 60's and violets was 70's

  • @Emidretrauqe How is Violet the 60's?

  • @Emidretrauqe to tell the truth the songs are sort of mixed up. Mike Teavee has a bit of the beatles which ended in the 70's. With Veruca it would have been in the 60's because of the beatels. And Violet is based on disco which was in the 70's. Sorry if i sound mean or anything bad but i asked alot of people who i made listen to it and that had been around before the 60's and told be when which song was

  • the oompa-loompa did the most work in the movie

  • LOL oompa loompas are so mean XD

And if we caaaan't.... then serves him right. *squish*

  • Woops, @ the beatles part its actually:

    Regarding little Mike Teevee,

We very much regret that we...

    (regret that we!..)

Shall simply have to wait & see!

  • Cont.

So we guess we'll have to wait & see,

    (we'll see, we'll wait, we'll see, we'll wait, we'll see)

    We very, very much agree

That we shall simply have to wait and see

if we can get him back to size

    And if we ca-a-a-A-Aaaan't?

    It serves him right.

  • Cont. It makes a child so dull and blind! SO DULL!! ( and blind!) SO DULL!! ( and blind!) They can no longer understand the fairytales in fairyland! (THE FAIRYLAND!! THE FAIRYLAND!!) Their brains become as soft a cheese! Their thinking powers rust & freeze! They cannot think, they only see!!! Darling, we don't like TV, We'd rather watch regretfully! (regretfully!)
  • The important, that we'll ever learn. The most important thing we'll learn-as far as children are concerned is Never, never let them near, your television set. Or better still just don't install the idiotic at all! (Aah-Aah!) NeverNever let them! (Aah-Aah!) NeverNever let them! Aah-Aah! Aah-Aah! Aah-Aah-Aah-Aah! [Hair Band solo] NeverNever let them! NeverNever let them! It busts the senses in their heads! It kills imagination dead! It clogs & clutters up the mind!
  • LOVE THE END

  • I love Jordan. If I could meet anyone in the world it would be him he's so hot

  • Totally #1, Bebe. God bless u, Jonny Depp.

  • rock

  • THE FAIRYLAND! THE FAIRYLAND!!

  • Did anyone else notice that the Oompa Loompas were copy off the Beatles in a certain part of the song?

  • @lovelylittlevulpix -.- no shit. they did that on purpose.

  • this is my favorite song in this movie

  • 1:11 Lol Norman is trying to kill Mike XD

  • @sweetiepie1709 Norman? Err, The Oompa Loompa's name is infact, Deep Roy.

  • @BlendedSea I'm talking about the guy who was trying to stab him in the shower, in the movie that was from, the guy's name is Norman Bates. I didn't mean the Oompa Loompa.

  • @sweetiepie1709 Lol okay X3

  • WTH???????

  • WHO PUSHED THE DISLIKE BUTTON??????????

  • It clots and clatters up the mind! It makes a child so dull and blind!

  • Love the song, Mike even experienced Phsyco! Love Mike Teavee, my fav character.

  • this song is the best

  • Lol! The splat sound effect was awesome! Splat!

  • I luv this movie!!!!!!!!!!

  • my favourite song from the movie :)

  • LOL "Thank goodness, he's completely unharmed..." No emotion whatsoever, awesome!

  • this is like a Queen song ... hahaha.. nice...

  • the oompa loompas in this song are a little scary

  • The second is the songs and what there about. The lesson is all the same but hears the thing

Willy wonka and the chocolate factory: it tells you to stop it plus gives you reasons why

Charlie and the chocolate factory :just tells you the bad things and your to amazed by the millions of midgets the awesome lyrics and all the pretty colors to even under stand the song

  • ok I just did a complete compare of Willy wonka and the chocolate factory and Charlie and the chocolate factory

2 huge different things Willy wonka and the chocolate factory: the ompaloompas look more like well they should

you know like a species (there all different im amazed how many midgets got casted in the movie)

Charlie and the chocolate factory : the ompaloompas are more like clones and are a lot more rude (and white lmao)

  • the serves him right part was to funny.

  • at 1:01 it looks like something from 1960 or somthing in the middle????

    LOVE THE MOVIE SO MUCH!!!!!!!

  • lol best song of the 4

I love rock and roll XD

  • @daevil13

yes but being intelligent is not the same as being wise = )

mike tea vee is not a wise kid. if he was, he sure would have considered the consequences.

  • @daevil13

he's a genius but very rude and too proud,he didn't even think of the consequences because he was angry at willy wonka...

  • 0:58 .... Is that a Sgt. Pepper homage?

  • I don't know, but it's so damn good.

  • Just a beatles homage.

  • @nate1606gc5: And Queen as well.

  • But mainly beatles, cause with the bowl haircuts and colorful background, it's pretty obvious.

  • wtf happned ?

    lol awesome!

  • sweet

  • I dont see why they didnt hook up a large flat screen and send him back though POOF no need for a taffy puller =P

  • Brilliant! I love this song!

  • That'sm y favorite Umba Lumba song , I love the Umba Lumba version of the Beatles and of Psycho :P

  • Sounds like Iron Maiden.

  • Sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody

  • It's funny that the music says that TV dumbfies you,but the kid is a genius.

  • that kid may have a lot of know how and book smarts...but if the kid was a true genius, would he have teleported himself into the TV without thinking of how he was going to get himself out of it first? Excess TV limits the brains problem solving skills and common sense capability as well as imagination (making it hard to foresee problems like getting out of a TV you teleported yourself into) and without the aforementioned abilities...you're a dumbass.

  • @jrallen175

wow that's a very impressive analisys!

Mike was very smart, but he wasn't kind or even polite. I think the song about him explains that tv and games kills the inoccence and curiosity of a child.

  • agreed, that is part of the song

  • plus he mumbles a lot...I didn't understand half of what he said throughout the whole movie

  • whats this based off of? 1:00

  • @farfilet the one and only Fab Four!! (AKA The Beatles!)

  • anybody knowwhere can you get them shades

  • Roald Dahl's big problem with the 70's movie is that he wanted Spike Milligan to play Willy Wonka

  • Comment removed

  • Chinese.

  • Little known fact...the author of the book HATED the 70s film...He thought the new version was....unknown...he died in 1990

  • I'm a little bit curious about this, because A) the author would, as you mentioned, have no knowledge of the new version, but B) Roald Dahl himself WROTE THE SCREENPLAY for the 70s film.

  • yeah but still the 70s film was completely different fro the book, the author would most certainly like the 2005 version better as it followed the book down to Willy Wonka's darker side, as well as the songs and how the oompa loompa's looked

  • Roald Dahl is the author in question. I'm fully willing to believe he would have loved the remake, but the fact is he WROTE the SCREENPLAY for the 70s film. The many differences were written into the screenplay BY THE AUTHOR OF THE ORIGINAL BOOK. Every change was made with his full consent.

  • @ECL28E hed flip if he were still alive today.

  • @5565kr He said he hated the 71 movie because it was far too whimsical. I think he'd like this version

  • He's my fave character all the way, and I love this song too!!!! It suits him in every possible way and it's also kind of haunting in a weird way.

  • The heavy rock Oompa Loompas kinda look like Meatloaf in my opinion.

  • Wait...

Didn't the movie tell me before that watching TV and playing videogames all day would make me kinda obnoxious but much more clever than other people?

I mean come on... Mike Teavee seems to be as smart as Einstein.

  • Still, he doesn't like chocolate. And you can see his knowledge didn't take him anywhere. Because he didn't like chocolate. The world spins around chocolate!

  • @zelos666 Just cause a guy's a douche doesn't make him smart, despite what shows on tv.

  • Gotta give it up to the new movie, they did use the songs from the book(though I prefer the Oompa Loompa's design in the old movie.)

  • Oh come on, orange faces and green hair, a bit too symbolistic of punk rather than oompah-loompah.

  • the guy who playe mike teavee was pretty cute lol anyboty know who played him

  • "Then serves him right"

    *SQUISH*

    Lmao XD

  • i like all the band tributes from the beatles to kiss to queen

  • Was the rock band part a small homage to 'The Who'?

  • i

    yes i think that was

    the other was the beatles

  • actually i think it was Queen

  • it could but there not that metallic

  • ahhhh rock-o-tage

all started off with bohemian rhapsody

  • The best song of the movie imo

  • i like mike tv!!!!!

  • at 54 secs he looks like johnathon the zombie who likes turtles

  • i like the beatles part

  • I love at the end when the oompa loompa guy says "Serves him right". Mike deserves what happened to him!

  • this song rocks

    love the hard-rock-part

    makes me head-bang

  • @lotten16 hard rock sucks. it lowers IQ.

  • @Nighthawk42493 the smartest people I know listen to hard-rock.

  • @lemonfreak92 it was joke : D

  • Wow look at this and then look at the originals songs.....

  • what is the beatles song called?

  • By original songs I ment the oompa loompa songs from the first movie, and I don't think that is a beatle's song.

  • ah!

forgive me, i made a mistake, please dont hold it against me!

do you know what the song is though?

  • lol its ok! But like I said I don't know any beatle songs.

  • oh thank you sir! thank you, you are too kind and just!

i shall never NEVER make such a stupid mistake again

    never!

  • lol its ok! :D

  • I don't think there's a Beatles song like that. At least, not that I can remember.

  • This song if full of so much WIN

  • 0:14 Whose legs were those? I wanted to know(lol)

  • how many oompa loompas are there in total the total population? I think about 10.000 right?:P

  • Well, in the book, it says that Willy took the entire population into his factory, and even created a room that houses all of them.

  • I know this fact my friend but does anybody know how many the population consists?

  • Whoa! Oompa Rocker Loompas! This whole movie is so funny and sweat!

  • name of the original song on 0:57?

  • LOL Oompa Loompas go hardcore

  • "EWW! Someone Grab him!"

LOL!! The best part in the whole scene... but of course with a mind like mind it sounds so wrong. LOL!

  • Is it just me or does this song take on the same style as Bohemian Rhapsody?

  • i love "EW! sombody grab him!"

    Love this movie

  • :S I love mike Teavee ♥ He's arrogant

  • same,

    his attitude is just...

    i love him too lol

  • hey isnt that the beatles at 1:00

  • At 1:09 when they jump around and smash their instruments, that's DEFINITELY got "The Who" written all over it!
