The place where cars and people come together. For the people who made that shared space "i wonder what they where smoking"
People on foot and moving cars do not mix.
One day there might be a accident there thanks to the creators of the shared space
anyone could get run over.

@newbievamp2005 people get ran over all the time... and its because people arent paying attention. hans mondermon wasnt smoking anything (that we know of haha) when he realized the best way to make people pay attention is the remove everything that conditioned people to drive like zombies and NOT pay attention. have you ever been changing a song and realized you werent watching for 10-20 seconds? but you still stayed in the lines? shared spaces aims to prevent passive driving.

I don't know the area, but this does not seem to be a very busy stretch of road at all. With such quiet road traffic I imagine just about any scheme could be made to look effective.

Seems like a stupid idea to me.
I'd be well pissed off if we had that kinda thing round here.
Best that they put the road, lights etc back before someone gets killed.
I wonder, has the highway code has been updated to include this junction?
