  • Hey I'm from Bangladesh but I live I'm Ohio. I came across tour video and it just made my day haha! Especially when you said that the cng cars are like metal death traps! Lol I ca relate. My uncle works at grameen bank as well. Btw, it's not dhaaka, you need to pronounce the a longer.

  • PS: I made Stefan believe that the dyed people are actually "FIRE LORDS".... :P

  • There is No Law against shooting indoors... :P

and Yes Geoff.. I am missing you... thats why I am going through your Vlogs... :(

  • Death Metal Trap... I'd try to send you a little clip of this other public transport that I went on... I rate it at least 14 times crazier than the MIGHTY C.N.G!!!!

  • Dude, did you seriously say, "women don't get a say in things... it's a muslim thing"? Did you know that the prime minister of the country you're in (Bangladesh) is a woman? Even the main opposition party leader is a woman? Religiously, women have the right to say in things but it's the cultures of certain countries that prohibits women from doing so. Btw, some old muslim men dye their beard because that's what the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to do.

  • @DesiRockMetal I did say it, but I didn't mean it. A friend of mine back in Canada is Muslim and as she said "I have a say in EVERYTHING!" Let me rephrase that right now: "The culture in some parts of Dhaka is that women don't get a say in things." This is what I meant, and you are totally right!

The red hair dye thing was what I was told, thanks for the clarification! I am sorry if you were offended, please watch my next video and I'll try to make amends for my mistake.

    Su din!

  • @corkygeoff No Geoff, I'm not offended. Thank you for acknolwdging the mistakes. You probably already know that the media give out a lot of wrong information about Muslims and Islam; so, as a Muslim, I'm forced to be on my toes to reduce the misconceptions people may have. Hope I didn't come across too harsh.

    Shu Din!

  • @DesiRockMetal Absolutely, one of my other muslim friends said the same thing. The Muslims which make it to the news are not the majority, and being in Dhaka that is one of the great things I have learned! Not too harsg at all, if it was my religion at stake I'd be as of not more harsh.

    Cheers.

  • Man this is sick congrats on the internship!

  • I don't really have any idea about the purpose of your visit here.

I know how unlikely it sounds to u, when I accuse Grameen Bank or Dr. Yunus of such things. How could I accuse a Nobel-peace winner corp. with this?

My traveling hobby gave me such an insight of this country which I doubt that anyone outside here have.

However, if you want to meet someone off the record I can arrange that. But Grameen has ability to ruin my entire life. We live at the mercy of those rich guys like th doc here.

  • hahha.. i live in dhaka... Its funny some of the things u said... However, Grameen Bank is really not doing anything for the proverty... They loan money but most times people fail to return it on time. This keeps increasing their debts, finally they sell their everything trying to pay, unable to bear this huge debts many of them collapses! I just thought u should a more keen in depth observer.

  • @ZahidKn Thanks for watching! I am shocked to hear such negative things about Grameen! The people I have spoken to who live here have had nothing but positive things to say about Grameen. Also since the loan return for grameen is 95%, the case you make seems unlikely. I will admit though that most of my program so far has been organized by Grameen itself. If it wouldn't be too much to ask, I would like to meet one of these people who the bank has wronged. Do you know how I may contact one?

  • did you edit this all on your own? Im so impressed!!

  • @jessicaallossery Thanks ma'am, wait til you see my new one, I am getting way better at this stuff!

  • Geoff loved your fresh vlog. Keep 'em coming. I am pretty sure the traffic was worse here in Toronto yesterday.

  • wow, that looks awesome!
