I searched around to find a copy of the music as Duarte arranged it, but I couldn't find it. Still, I found a music website and ordered it. Thanks for the conversation which convinced me to look for some actual sheet music.
@lucassalazar I have no idea! I found it in tabs and started writing out the music for myself. I came onto YouTube to see how others play it. I just happened to notice yours didn't have bass notes in that section. I'm really just trying to learn the piece and can't get it to breathe like some of you guys do. I like how you move your right hand towards the sound hole. Like a call and response, or an echo. I play mine like yours. What version is this?
John Duarte is the version, but I'm not following it religiously. You got it exactly right with the echo idea I have on the repeated parts. If I've learned one thing about music in all my time playing, it's that your thinking on a piece is going to have a major impact on its delivery - the devil is in the details. You hear someone like Julian Bream and you feel how he understands every phrase and makes the whole damn thing sing!
I play this whole suite - although not perfectly - and I use Duarte's arrangement (with some of my own changes when I felt it was necessary). I started reading music about 3 years ago and it has been one of the hardest parts of improving on the guitar. I played for 10 years before that reading only tab and chords. It's hard because I felt like I was "starting over" again, but I've come to realize that I've added a new skill, rather than relearned anything.
I know how you feel...been reading tab for a long time and then getting to read "real" music is quite a difficult transition. Where did you get the sheet music from? I believe what you were playing is in G but most sheet music out there is in D.
hey great job man... i played this on cello about 3 years ago, and just transcribed it to guitar yesterday, but i couldnt do it without retuning my guitar in to fifths, like a cello. compliments to this great adaptation of the peace! keep it up
Pues, muchisimas gracias. Estoy de acuerdo - el Bach es uno de los compositores mas dificil de tocar, pero tambien uno de los mas dulces. Que le vaya muy bien Senor.

Thank you. This is fun to listen to and to learn from. I was wondering, why you didn't use any bass notes starting the run at measure 23?

Difficult song, well done though.
Did you learn through sheet music or guitar tabs?
