  • land that wasn't theirs & stole it. not only that but took who was already there and sent them to the hills basically. Generations have passed but the same blood that ran thru their veins back then still flows now in the white american. The greed that's seen in wall street was evident way back then. There's no way one can apologize for this unless you'd be willing to give back this country but I doubt that'll happen. Independence day? a joke of a holiday. the U.S is still not liberated.

  • I've been doing some research on this subject & hte history of native americans when I came across this: "But in 1863, following a gold rush into Nez Percé territory, the federal government took back almost six million acres of this land, restricting the Nez Percé to a reservation in Idaho that was only one tenth its prior size." I just can't believe the actions of the white man back then. My perspective is that I now see every so called american as liars, thieves, foreign intruders who took a

  • All as i tried to learn i 60-odd years so much I try to see now, here.

  • Oh how I pity what has transpired and how we have come to a state of peace after bloodshed. The irony of torment for peace and pleasure is one we cannot overcome, but we must reflect upon.

  • I have Cherokee in my blood but i breed the nez perce horse. The Appaloosa. a hearty and beautiful horse.

  • my brothers are from his family too , they made it to canada to live wonderful lives up here ,

  • the 1 person who dislikes this video, will not go to heaven! >:C

  • this video makews me wanna cry :'(

  • hes my great great grandfather :)

  • Hi,I'm trying to find out where did native american get the Yeast to make bread.they didnt have store they could go to.and the oils how did the get that.

  • As true now as it was then. A message for Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party.

  • As true now as it was then. A message for Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party.

  • whos words r those on 4.00 +????

  • @pomona1542 Chief Josephs words

  • Le peuple indien vivait près de la nature, avec la nature en symbiose. Il respectait et respecte la nature. Respect pour ce peuple!

  • thank you for sharing very beautiful videos. All of the world should see these to let them know more about the GREATEST people who took care of the earth.. Thanks again... Coyote man ... Kickapoo tribe,,,

  • Imagine an America that was left alone and the Native American were able to prosper and evolve into great beings. The contributions we could have given ths broken Earth would have been greater than any other! God bless all the diplaced souls, Native Americans hold your head up high! Representing The Keetoowah Cherokees, God bless all my brothers and sisters!

  • The message in particular was and is to all redmen and to the whiteman "alpo".

The fact that it was redmen that sold his land to the whitemen, put Chief Joseph in quite a lifelong struggle with his own inheritance with god and all men.

Writings from Chief Joseph are found in "The Wisdom of the NATIVE Americans", Kent Nerburn.

The chief has not gotten what he wanted most. That is to be buried where his father is buried. His ghost would be pleased, if we would do, do this, soon. :D

    Tiacuma.:>

  • Just the right uplifting words I needed to hear to get my day started. The video that Russel Means did with Alex Jones is also quite good. The same murderous elite bloodlines and banking interests around today, were the main driving force behind the initial settling (really squatting) of this precious land. It's hard to come to grips with the degradation. They took something beautiful and destroyed it. They've poisoned the food, water and the air we breathe, they have no respect for the land.

  • The wise spirtual people of this world are always Slaughtered by men who want to have power. You cannot control many spirtual people because they have much power in numbers. Many people of this world need to realise that we have to become spirtual again,at least in part to end the oppression of this world.

  • @Lucy, I agree but this is my point view as a Native American. We go to war because we fight for our people not the goverment, we respect those we kill, we had a alcohol type substance back then that was not as strong as alcohol today. we do not all drink. we live on reservations which sometimes aren't so good. I've read the bible out or curiousity and the Jesus fellow is a great man but I don't think he would approve of your words because he said we are all children of the creator. Stop racism

  • @SuperSteveX I've said that to myself since I was a teenager and I'm of European/mediterranean descent.

  • Very touching and powerful. What arrogance for early Europeans to come to America, to just take what was not theirs ... truly the earth does not belong to any one ... I am not Native American but as I understand it, the Native people did not think of 'owning' in this way. Many people, of all races, now understand the importance of this message.

  • Chief Joseph fought so very hard to save his people!

  • make the white man walk the trail of tears!

  • I hate tainted history no matter who tells it...I am half white and half native...I take a hard ball aproach to history as I noticed everyone wants to be the good guy and no one wants to admit the evils their forefathers committed...until the early 1800's native men practiced polygamy commonly up to 6 wives and they were war booty stolen from other tribes including white tribes ok so when you celebrate your self be honest about it...white men did not invent evil ok!

  • @lucy9359 - Yea, whites STILL practice polygamy, and STILL are taking others things(war booty over seas) so try to be a little more honest

  • @Superdave1ize...1% of them practice polygamy...75-85% of natives practice alcoholism...they are guilty of every other crimes every other man is guilty of in this world as well...they join the armed forces and go over seas with the whites, they rape woman, murder, cheat, lie, steal, what else????....your men are human beings the same as everyone else some of them great men some of them evil men...I am sure had you been able to beat the white men in the war u would have, u gonna whine or live?

  • @lucy9359 - America is the largest consumer of alcohol world wide period !!! stereotypes of the "drunk indian" are just that ..white people are better at hidding things...and who is whining ? why are you peole always talking shit and then someone says something all of a sudden people are "whining" sounds like the people who bring the shit up are the real whiners.and do not ever try and use that "we are all good and bad " bullshit, history has shown the Europeans are the killer apes of the planet

  • @Superdave1ize the only persons sins you'll be going to hell for are your own! And yes there are good and bad people in every race...your biased, prejudice and racits!

  • @lucy9359 -Its "racist" not "racits"...you just keep beliving in your bible..and be a "none-racist" person k? that book has spread more killing and hate than any other text in history, its a morel guide for the feble minded, and is used to control them by the strong, it has done wonders for the environment.....and all those animal extinctions WoW! i'll stick with my own belifs..that has a firm grip on reality

  • Thank you. The Spirit World smiles on you....I am certain.

  • And all the white man gave was empty words but the government of US still sits upon millions and millions of dollars that belong to Indians. What a beautiful America it would be if the American Indians had kept control of this land.

  • I am Irish but have a Red heart, Joseph is one of my Heros!

  • "I'm tired of good talk that comes to nothing." Sounds like the last 40 years of so of the US Federal Government in my lifetime. I guess it has been going on a lot longer than that. I suppose anything after the Civil war days is really just a joke in so far as all the corruption goes.

  • Chief Joseph was so respectfull to the US and he lost everything because all he wanted to do is protect his tribe....Great spirit of the wolfes, bears. Eagles of the great sky., protect Chief Joseph and his tribe in the after life.....let them rest in peace

  • "I am tired of talk it comes to nothing"

  • God, what have us white men done? I would give anything to change history, and make it so that we never found America.

  • You don't tell an animal by the color of it's skin. and you don't judge a man by it either. You judge a man by how he stands and what he stands for and how well he carries himself. My mother Was a Cherokee and I know it because she proffered to spend her time in the woods picking berries and digging roots and hunting deer, and taking about her relatives in Georgia and what happened to them

. I try to bear in mind that a white buffalo is still a buffalo, and now and then one comes along.

  • I wish to say a word in defense of those blond haired blue eyed Indians . Not all of them , but there are some who do not deserve ridicule for claiming Native American heritage. I can trace my white ancestors back to the year 1000 AD. I can only trace my Native American roots to my great Grandmother. When I was born I was told that I was the first person in my family that had ever had blond hair and blue eyes.

My family history isn't the point however.(Continued )

  • Song names please.

  • Oh. Can you give me the names of the music.

  • @helen. We are all connected like you say. But many of the tribes out west say we are all a different plant in the ground. So i'm not trying to miscall but rather appeal to each an every plants unique nest.

  • @Morningstar547 i wasnt directing the mscaling to you but to those who do miscall one another, each and one of us in body are a different plant but not as spirit we are all the same

  • No thing lasts forever, as the sands of time flit through our fingers. Everything changes as everything is lost, and as much as that is true, the world will change around , and if you change things, you may succeed, forever will you fight, and forever you will fight no more.

  • Video is great. But I am Cheyenne. Full blood. You whites. Be proud of yourselves. Live long and have many children. Us natives will live and endure many more trials. Many of us natives say to me "would you still have fed the pilgrims". And I say yes for they are my brothers and sisters. Peace.........oh. Cheyennes are located in Montana close to the Nez tribe.

  • @Morningstar547 well spoken with wise words, no one should be ashamed of who they are, anyway we are all conected to each other, to miscall one then your only miscalling your self

  • @Morningstar547

i am white and european yet they call me a barbarian because i have not been christened and do not go to church regulary, they go to church and do things in the name of god, that would frighten the devil, they would not allow me to marry in church, they talk a lot but say little, this is all i have to say.............

  • @Morningstar547 Thank you my brother.

  • @Morningstar547 Be proud of yourselves. well spoken with wise words,

  • Be proud of yourselves. well spoken with wise words,

  • Is there but a single star of hope for the "humane" human beings of this world?

  • @BlueEyedCelt For many yes there will be and for many no there wont be

  • What this government done to the Indians..you know that we never kept not one treaty that was signed with the Indians! I can only say that "God Knows"..and have pity on our souls!

  • @SuperSteveX IM NATIVE AND I THINK THAT EVERY SINGLE DAY

  • Life is easier if you look to see yourself in other people. I believe if you see God in everyone around you it makes such a difference. We are all one, if only we all excepted that.

  • @SuperSteveX If Europeans wouldn't come you wouldn't desire change. let it flow that Earth will act by the word of god, be no part of good or evil but to be equal I hope humans humilliate to one another, let things be humble maybe one day we'll be perfect like our savior.

  • @CryOFSNOWLION That's true, and just like in Germany, most of the population didn't know what was going on. I don't think the English knew what those people were doing to the Natives.

  • @CryOFSNOWLION I have no reason to give you a hateful reply, you haven't provoked anything. It's just that when my grandpa tells me stories about how he was treated as a child, it upsets me greatly.. I don't understand what could make an entire people treat the Natives the way the English did. :/

  • This is sort of an old clip, but I want to add a few words to it. I am white, not a drop of Indian blood that I know of. I respect the American Indians, though I can't pretend that I understand them because I am not of that culture. I do believe the Indians got a raw deal and were lied to many times. However, that is in the past and there is nothing any of us can do about it. I encourage everyone to live for now, be proud of who you are and don't let the old stories or customs die.

  • @CryOFSNOWLION They weren't forced, though they did because my mom was pregnant. I have accepted what I am and actually have fallen in love with an Englishman. I just get upset when I give it too much thought..

  • @SuperSteveX ya i know what you mean, they put all the criminals over there in those days, but now those people are weaned out and USA is left with huge mixed race of people with a goverment that does nothing to help the Native American people

  • I do not know what to say. I am a white man and honestly not proud of it. I aftaid to search my ancestory in fear I will find some that were involved in this horrible treat of the people who own this land. I know it may not do any good now days, but all I can say is I'm sorry. I wish there were something I could do so the native people can have all of this land back and live freely as they should.

  • @1968gmoore dont say your not proud of your colour, all of our ancestors have done things wrong in the past we cannot hang our heads because of what ancestors did, we are differnt people now, if people in America treat Native Americans still like this then they are the ones that should be ashamed, The American goverment are the ones who break promises always have done, they took advantage of the NA people calumet they knew NA words were truth smoking it, but whites were not truthfull

  • @helen1434 i know, but thinking about it really pisses me off. All i know is the little bit i have learned so far is heartbreaking mainly because growing up the truth was not told, kinda makes one feel everything learned was a lie. I also know that I always had an intrest in NA people and thier beliefs. My interest really started growing after I started playing the NAF, not sure why , maybe the magic in them or something. have a good day, Peace.

  • thats my great great great grandfather. maybe 4 greats not positive.

  • Chief Joseph is my 3x great uncle, I just wish things could be better for the Nez Perce... I am unfortunately not able to join the reservation, since I don't have enough native blood in me. But I feel the pain nonetheless, and just as great...

What little Nez Perce blood runs through my veins hates every ounce of white blood.

  • I really like Chief Joseph Wisdom He was a very good Man.

  • I love you great grandfathers take me back to Xibalba

  • chief joesph ur words are wise, i cry 4 all the lives lost to the ignorantz of the white man, one day or some day soon all natives will be prospering with life and culture once again.

  • One of our great ancestors. Speaks the truth that we should all honor- native or not.

  • Sounds like Gordon Tootoosis...

  • My feelings about the speech I heard tonight, have roots that echo back to a greater heart, and mind than my own. Yet my thoughts could fill the entire shadow of his words, from a hundred years ago. How could this be? Americans still look for meaningful results, a hundred years later. Thank You for posting this clip, Will

  • thins sucks ass

  • @durzi123 If you dont like it you dont have to watch or listen

  • I watched the "Political Talk Shows", Sunday.. That night, before I closed my eyes on the day, I was reminded of the words of Chief Joesph. Over a hundred years later, his words speak to the wants of every American...even now, a hundred years later.... Thank You for posting this clip. Will
