@Chessbuster well, you can look at how it performs on others phones which is very crappy and then you can just look at what does to your pc when you are using flash. Open up task manager and take a look. I think it was a mixture of both, but he explanation here sounds genuine.

HTML 5 isnt a style markup language thats CCSS. and javascript isnt a plugin :L

I respect Steve Jobs a lot but something to note here is that HTML 5 is a document style markup launguage, where as Flash is a fully fledged programming language. Very different. To do things in HTML 5 that I do in Flash I would need to incorporate something like javascript, which is a plugin just like Flash. If I wanted to do some cool advanced things in HTML 5 I'd have to test my site on every browser and fix the bugs pertaining to each particular browser. I dont need to do that with Flash.

hypercard became html, it was built on the same principals and language, when it moved over to web-pages instead of self contained projects (like a power point presentation, or the original myst game which was built in hyperstudio, the last step of hypercard before it went full on html) thus why html is hypertext markup language. hyperstudio and hypercard both used the same basic language. hypercard/studio were primarily more self contained. much like early flash was.

Jobs was right with adobe flash. The number 1 issue is security and protection of content. We all use flash, its everywhere and it is this popularity that eventually lead people to exploit it. i can see adobe doing what they can to protect flash. but unfortunately what they do so far is easily and quickly out done in a matter of days or weeks. and it has been an unending cycle. and this is what Jobs is talking about, this is what he is trying to move Apple products away from.
