  • Wow classy.

  • I was born in 83!!! My little baby body back then is dancin to the crazy music in this entertaining video of mass death and destruction and havic and sanity of member of cocunut treees. YEs sir! I got two words to say now. WE WE. :) And to say, these things are great entertainment! TAKE COVER! WEE WEEE!

  • Probably the narrator is W's secret daughter... :-)

  • very sporty music.

    What do you think?

  • @applesweeter Frankie goes to Hollywood: Two Tribes.

  • Nucular war??? :-)))

  • that narrator is annoying me everytime she says Nukular... Didn't the libtards make fun of Bush for 8 years for pronouncing it that way? Oh wait.. she's brittish, so therefore more educated. Bullshit.. the BBC announcers can never pronounce Jose Zapatero or Jose Luis Ignacio de Silva correctly.

  • It's not really that they're saying "Nucular," it's more of putting the emphasis after the C, making it sound like an extra U is being thrown in. Instead of nu'clear, it's nuc'lear (making it sound like "Nucular").

In either case, I could care less where they put the emphasis.

  • @Revuhlooshun Which is why you put the effort to explain it.

    Faggot.

  • @HectorGarfria Cry more Bloo.

  • Just like George W. Bush, Lettermann said it many times in the past... :-)))

  • Just soak your ass in icewater, and shut the fuck up for the remainder of the documentary.

  • @Wyrmshadow What the fuck does Bush and the "libtards" have to do with this? That one person pronounces incorrectly doesn't excuse the other from doing so.

I do agree with the British part of your comment, though. It is sad enough that they think they're oh so much smarter than us ignorant, McDonald's-addicted Americans, but what's even sadder is that many Americans buy into the whole thing.

And yes, she is very much saying "NYOO-kyoo-lar."

  • @Wyrmshadow

    Brazil sucks balls anyway.

  • @Wyrmshadow preach

  • 1983 was a scary time. I really thought I wouldn't live to finish college. Many people, myself included, thought Reagan was just nuts enough to go over the brink.

  • Nah, Reagan just knew how far he could push the Reds before they'd snap. As it worked out, in the end, he was right all a long.

  • It was less Reagan and more internal resentment and dissipation that ended it. Reagan would have gotten nowhere if the Soviet people (but more importantly, the Eastern Bloc population) had continued to accept their conditions.

The system imploded in on itself more due to internal reasons than anything else.

  • Of course, the Soviets spending roughly 25% of their GNP on the military caused them to be less able to fund social and economic programs which led the population to become disenfranchised.... that might not have happened had Reagan not pushed them into spending as much as they did on national defence programs. Gorbachov himself stated that it was one of the major causes of the downfall.

  • The thing though is that their massive military budget consumption was in place before Reagan. I think Reagan's greatest contribution however (one of few in my book, but I'm glad to give credit when it's due) was the Afghan policy (at least until the end of it).

Drawing out the Afghan war to 10 years placed another burden on the system, which may have well sped it up. Of course, this policy was not original and a continuation of Carter, but he increased it dramatically.

  • Despite the Afghan policy however, while it may have sped the process up, the system was already cracking in the 70s. Between uprisings in Ukraine, Poland, and other Bloc nations throughout the 70s and especially the 80s, it was finished already.

  • LOL, gorbatchev admitted the dismantling of the CCCP was his objective.

  • @Fridaey13txhOktober I guess it just depends on whose words you choose to trust. Whether it was Gorbys intention or not, there would be a reason to make that claim after the fact. But, we KNOW that it was part of the Reagan plan right from the outset

  • @Fridaey13txhOktober Actually, he never said any such thing. To the contrary, Gorbachev has stated his intention was to save the USSR through necessary reforms, not dismantle it. The pressure applied by the Reagan Administration forced him to go further with the reforms than he wanted, resulting in the ultimate collapse of the Soviet Union.

  • @ThatHistoryGuy that was so close..thank god if didnt happen.. do u know what is the first soundtrack in that video ? :D

  • @NaffiFIRE The Song is "Blue Monday" by the group New Order

  • Why is she saying "new-cu-lar?"

  • When I was younger the word nuclear seemed to have two pronounciations: 1) "new-cle-er" and 2) "new-cu-lar". Don't ask me why, it was just that way.

  • Flight 007, Operation Able Archer, the Invasion of Grenada... 1983 was like 1962 all over again.

  • What the hell is with the clip of the space shuttle launch at 0:10??? Totally out of place.

  • @RJY4356 wasn't that the soviet shuttle , the BRUAN (russian for snowstorm)

  • nice work..!!
