Because Death isn't ..well how can I say it... talking in it's literally meaning. People just hear hes voice in their heads, without using their ears, somekind of telepathy.

He is in the Terry Pratchett books, that I know. They cut out the bit from the book becasue there originally some dialouge between Death and the wizards.

I was very sorry when Ian Richardson died as I was a fan, but Chris Lee is much more suited for the role of Death. Cheers for this.
