  • Thanks...I missed this episode...it was really appreciated that it was here. Thanks!

  • As far as having too many people on destiny, the writers gave an obvious clue last episode......the stasis chambers.

  • Great again....

  • I love how people try to argue about imaginary things...just a tv show guys.

  • @therealcraqerjaq HOW DARE YOU! is not a regular tv show is the most awesome tv show and they are not imaginary things is really close to be real science.

  • @xxXlolXxx37 you're obviously confused. you agree that it is a tv show...and the things in the show are all creations of the writers are they not? hence the whole concept of a tv show. how dare I what exactly?

  • @therealcraqerjaq but they are obviously related to real science

  • @xxXlolXxx37 did I say ANYTHING about that? NO, I did not. people here are all freaking out about whether or not there are people alive on this planet, structural integrity of that particular stargate that got royally f'd...and then you freak out just the same...seriously...it's TELEVISION...get outside and do something.

  • @therealcraqerjaq the argument is ultimately about the quality of a work of art.... I think that’s important enough to argue about

  • I'm going to cry when the series is over. This is coming from a boy in high school.

  • @Arkatox dude im going to go in a deep depression and im in middle school

  • THAT . . . WAS . . . AWESOME.

Does that mean the entire planet was void of life? Not a single survivor at all whatsoever? That's a tiny bit unrealistic.

  • Wait isn't the stargate suppose to be pretty much indestructible to small blasts? Those drones are what the size of a large car maybe F-350 at most. Oh well guess it was a better story line then the stargate that knocked over and the dialing thing got destroyed.

  • or maybe they are not made from naquada

  • @xxXlolXxx37 they have to be, its what allows them to generate, focus and control such an immense amount of energy.

  • @lordgarethantle and why the gate was destroyed so easily

  • @xxXlolXxx37 Naquadah is almost indestructible

  • @xxXlolXxx37 Naquadah is almost indestructible according to just about every other episode ever that they tried to break one.

  • Maybe these gates easily broke because they are the earliest models, are from earlier Ancient technology, and also have deteriorated after millions of years being older than all the other gates in Miky Way and Pegasus.

  • good one

  • First, I want my own civilization

Secondly, time travel is used a bit to much in this series

Third, when it is used it is used to perfection

Fourth, I bet the Novasians are trying to find what destiny is headed to

  • i really gotta learn Morse code....

  • Can´t wait till next week!!

  • one of the best episodes :)

  • the stargate are prototypes it makes that's probably why weaker than the milky way or pegasus gates

  • Yeah. I thought the gates were almost unbreakable.

  • @koolkreation I think I'm psychic, I had a feeling the gate was going to break in this episode. But ya it doesn't make sense that stargates would be so fragile considering repairing them would require long distance travel...I found that a weak idea.

In reality they'd be built to withstand a nuke or at least shielded will enough so that it's not easily destroyed.

  • @l1011l In Stargate SG-1 in season 1 didn't 1 take a hit or at least neat from a metor and remain in one piece? No wonder SGD is going under with weak story hole loops like that.

  • @gxxlee123 ya I think it was in episode one, either they were attacked by the lucian alliance or some meteor hit their stargate and that's how they got stuck on Destiny.

this show failed largely because they never got away from the 'broken elevator' premise (stuck on destiny) and most of the stories were pretty blah....though a few were good.

SG-Atlantis was a bit more cartoony, but it was entertaining because they kept evolving the story ideas and brought in new enemies they had to deal with

  • Yeah. I thought the gates were almost unbreakable.

  • Great episode, even with the plot holes. Sgu is going to die too young. Thanks for all the uploads.

  • @mynamesrickbitch You mean RIP. Its already been canceled.

  • Wow this was an AWESOME episode.

  • please be a season 3, they can pick it up so much now, its getting so good and more sci fi then drama

  • ..and we're back to sci-fi! Yay!

(I was worried we were drifting back into daytime-soap territory after the end of the last episode)

  • What the hell!??! i thought the gates were near impossible to destory yet this 1 drone destorys it with only 1 shot?!??!

  • @sporemaster34 - It was the pure-naquadah construction of the Milky Way / Pegasus gates that made them nearly indestructible (due to its almost unlimited ability to absorb energy).

Although it's never been established canonically, it's been implied that Destiny-type gates only have a small amount of naquadah in them, just enough to make them work without burning-out after one use (as was seen to happen when the de-ascended Ancient Orlin built a stargate from titanium), hence their limited range

  • @MrDavidHarrison Wow. You've got a good memory. I hadn't thought of that episode in a long time. Certainly is a logical explanation for the gate fail.

  • They tried blending traditional Stargate with Universe, didn't work so well.

    They tried again, worked perfectly.

  • agreed good episode...while I have some issues with this show, I don't feel it should be canceled but I guess it is already a done deal since we're in the last 10 episodes.

I have a feeling they might drop their descendants off in the city cause they can't take them all on the ship and help them to make it survivable there.

See this is what makes for a good sci-fi, the wonder, intrigue and drama...though I'm no fan of their rust-bucket ship. Hopefully the show will have a good finale.

  • @l1011l "Hopefully the show will have a good finale."

I hope they don't bother. I'd want it left open ended. Just because the TV execs want this show ended before its time doesn't mean the writers have to oblige in terms of the story. If they leave it open ended perhaps it'll spawn fan-fiction continuation of the saga, or better yet, leave the option of it being officially picked up again.

  • @LGD3 actually I did a bit of reading on this, they do intend to leave us with some cliff-hanger, perhaps to revive it down the road. I think they should just start a new SG series because what caused this one to bomb will result in the same thing in the future.

SGA had a good formula and enough story ideas to keep it interesting. SGU started off great but then just got dull most of the time because it never really progressed, that's why people left it in droves. So a new series would be best.

  • @l1011l

To be fair, this season 2.5 has been the best SGU has *ever* been.

If they brought it back in the future and kept up the standards of this season, it would do well. I think the problem was with season 1 and 2.0.

  • @JamieHowitt agreed.

  • wow that was good. hope the next is just as good

  • I WANT MORE DON'T END THE EPISODE LIKE THA D:

  • Yay thkx alot man :)

  • strange episode......i dunno wether to call that camp modern or 1940s

but were did those people go.....like there would be bodies around if there were dead people

and what are they going 2 do about all the people now anyways?

  • Comment removed
