People like Jamie Oliver are always acting so surprised and depressed about how much their efforts are always met with such fierce resistance wherever he goes. If only he knew it was because of killjoys who want to go around slapping the sirloin steaks off of people's grills and forcing them at gunpoint to nibble on a bowl of wet plain lettuce instead.
Maybe then he might change his tactics a little so he doesn't come off as another one of those food mullahs.
I appreciate what you are trying to do for the USA, Jamie. I hope one day you'll come to my area in Ohio. My son is in the 11th grade and he has nevEr had a healthy lunch prepared in school! It's all processed and plain yucky! WE NEED YOU!!!
I'm so happy to see someone like Jamie Oliver take on the challenge of the poor food in the public school systems. I'm 4th generation native to Los Angeles, so I know how crappy the food in our schools are. I wish more people had the will power like he does to take on all of these cities. Sure it may not work, but at least he is trying to build awareness.
@LordYon13 Well, this guy explains things properly, he makes you wanna listen to him, he got feelings for what he does (or at least he can show it) and he's got several TV shows (+ he's british). So yeah I guess he's somewhat charismatic.
@LordYon13 I don't know, maybe you should read a definition of Charismatic. He's inspired alot of people. He's got a major following, he has been able to have a few school districts change their lunch programs. I would say he is charismatic. I would say out of all the celebrity Chefs he's the most charismatic and by far best fit for the job.
The ONLY way this would work is if "corporate America" has a chance to make money off of it.
It is easier to have goverment spend billions of tax dollars to bail out the banks than it is to have goverment spend a few million on the education system.
Find a way so that the big franchises can makae a dollar and you will be off to the races.
YEAH! Come to MPLS,MN Jaime! I'll cook with you:D

He did not just call that a sharpener... Knife steel. And it doesn't sharpen anything, it's a honing steel. Just aligns the edge.

@rocksinoo whether someone is charismatic has nothing to do with their profession. Describing Jamie Oliver as charismatic is laughable.
