@N370S not quite FL095 but close! it's not because you're at 9500' that you have hardly any risk of detonation, it's because the power output at that altitude is significantly reduced. running the engine at the same power at 9500' and at SL will give you the same risk of detonation, all other factors being the same. I know it's a small thing but I wanted to point it out so that people don't think that detonation is directly related to altitude.
@RogerDeanSmart that's probably the most common excuse to waste fuel! people use that excuse when they have no idea what's going on in their engine. there is a lot of misinformation out there. LOP is actually better for your engine.
I guess you don't know much about engines! LOP operations are completely safe - and at FL095 there's not much risk of detonation!

This is killing me! Why would you lean so excessive. Buying fuel is cheaper than buying a new engine!!!!!!!
