  • I loved these games as a kid. But you have spoilt them for me and ruined Christmas. Cheers pal!

  • I still have the original C64GS with this cartridge, although the two halves of the cartridge fall apart on a regular basis. I found Fiendish Freddy with the Three Stooges references to be hilarious when I was 11, but now that I'm 29, I think it's just a crap game. The other three games were excellent though, especially Flimbo. Klax was a bit of a problem on my old B&W TV though.

  • great vid old school :)

  • Nice video man, I'm afraid to take my GS out of the box so I really appreciate seeing the gameplay :)

  • i had this til ny sis gave it away without my permission. Yeah I'm still bitter! Mastered Flimbo and Klax.

  • i miss flimbos quest so much it hurts!!!!!!!

  • i loved flimbos quest so much as a kid a recently named my cat after him

  • flimbos quest ruled!! still have it somewhere. if typed in mighty-roger in the main tittle u could get infinite lives.

  • I loved playing this cartridge, c64 was the very first console I ever owned and this game was the first game I played on it :D Flimbos quest as my fave by far, never really got the hang of the other two

  • Flimbo's Quest on C-64 is the best game ever made

  • i had one of these with a few great games like Navy Seals as mentioned, Chase HQ 2, Badlands, Robocop 2 which i thought was ace. i also had this cartridge and Flimbo was my favourite game and i could NEVER complete it, always died on level 5 (the one with the green background and the big shit of a flying thing). did anyone ever finish it?

  • haha! No man I couldn't get past that level either!!! haha

  • me too i never got past level 5

  • the white screen on the football game always did stay on for ages. lol

  • amazing video!!!

  • I had this cartridge :D Flimbo was my favourite. I always died on the fifth level though =\ I might get it down and see if I CAN PASS IT :p

  • oh yeah my wee brother got the c64 but it came with terminator 2 wich i swapped for this cartridge.

navy seals was another great cartridge game for the c64

  • i loved flimbo's quest

by the way you must have the most boring voice ever lol

  • the newer models have CPU and SID integrated into one chip, I think it is called 8510 and unfortunately it has filters changed which affects music that uses them + samples play silent in most games

  • i had the 1991 model aswell when i was young too,but it got lost in mist of time, well, after we got our mega-drive(which i still have),then i got the 1986 model last year, with the black keys.wanted the '91 model, but didnt see any at the time.works the same anyway, just i think the 91 model loaded faster or sumtin.ive a load of cassettes too,but a lot of them dont work anymore.shame!!

  • Theres an important difference between the newer c64's and the original c64's - the sid chips :D

  • Nah no loading times differences - but one reason maybe why half your games dont work anymore is the magnetic radiation from todays television sets etc - one thing bad about the commodore 64 is the magnetic fields that the datassette would be prone to recieve - commodore tried to remedy this with a little earth wire (the metal wire that comes from the datassettes plug) its horrible for magnetic field interference is the datassette!

  • flimbos rules!! i have both the winvice Emulator,AND a real commodore(the mid-80s model),got it on ebay a few months back!!ive always had this 4 game cartridge. Its 100 times better playing it on the TV with a joystick(even better on a widescreen)but the winvice is deadly too.

id advise anyone to look ebay up for one.its fully worth it!!

  • I also have the cartridge on a real commodore 64, mines around 1991 model (white keys), and it is in fact much better playing it on real hardware and an original commodore 64 joystick or quickshot 2 etc

  • I might erase this video and replace it via a real c64 - the audio is totally out of sync !

  • Loved this on the old C64. Flimbo's Q had fantastic music and sound effects. Especially when you died!

    cheers

  • Flimbos quest did have an amazing music score on the c64 - certainly used the SID chip to its potential - did you ever hear any c64 music like the tracks made by mainacs of noise?

  • Emulated - not on real C64 hardware unfortunately

  • also the audio is out of sync again :( i need to resolve that issue - will figure it out for future videos - sorry :(
