great...so my tv dies.....one month after the 3 year extended warranty..go figure..time to go buy capacitors

Hi, I have a similar problem with my Samsung, when I swith the power on, we can hear it clicking and the red light goes on and off. I found two capacitors "inflated" and I replaced them; but it keeps doing the same thing, so what else could it be the problem?

@salserito01 - i did 2 videos how to repair samsung tv.s check out my Tampatec channel, if it helped sub. me. thx, you might still have a bad cap but it might not be buldged, so buy the cap kit for your TV model #, My tampatec.blogspot link has cap kits there under $20 ;-)

what about an hitachi 42 inch tv turned it of and now it wont turn back on? there is no stanby light its dead! any ideas????

@fordescort1800 - unplug it wait 5 minutes then plug it in again, you should have a red blinking light or a click noise, plug tv into another a/c outlet use extension cord if u need one, tv should then check fuses on power supply, is this a lcd or crt? what model #

Repairman came by after a recent lightning strike & told me that the PN# BN94-02701F Main Unit for my Samsung LN40C630K1FXZA LCD TV was bad and that the repair would be around $375. I found the board online for $100. Is it a simple plug & play replacement or should I toss out the TV? Thanks! Stick5

@ps3callofdutybro unplug tv for 5 mins then plug it in to reset tv logic board, either you don't have 5v logic to your boards or your tv has firmware error and needs to be updated through usb tv port or through the internet if your tv has that feature. also see if you can move up and down on the tv menu using tv buttons on the tv. call samsung for more info. if that doesn't work you might still have a warranty.
