And the idea behind self defense is to deter an attacker, the officer should not have continued hitting the kid, as one hit was enough to knock the kid to the ground. The requirements for cops needs to be much more strict to ensure that people who will abuse their power aren't patrolling the streets. Plus if the US spent half as much money on addressing underlying causes of crime, such as poverty and unemployment, as they spend on making rick people richer/happier, then there wouldn't be as much need for protection in the first place.

Every single time (far more times than I can count) that I've had an encounter with cops, save for maybe 3 or 4, they abused their authority to get their way and treat me like shit. This includes cops spanning from Europe (MP's included) through the US. How many reports and videos of cops acting out do you need to see before you realize it? Wake the fuck up.

Nor do I think all cops, or even most are corrupt, but I do believe that indeed a high number are. Like I said, the entire system as a whole is corrupt because of the fact that they can and do lie to our faces and use intangible and subjective evidence in court. This is my biggest problem and the main reason I can't stand cops as a whole.

Cops have far too much power and authority and unfortunately most of them I've encountered abuse this. You may not believe me, but I got a ticket last week for something I did NOT do. He also talked down to me like I was a piece of shit. I don't drink or do drugs and I do my best to drive safely. How can I expect to feel safe when I know this could happen any time?

And the idea behind self defense is to deter an attacker, the officer should not have continued hitting the kid, as one hit was enough to knock the kid to the ground. However the officer continued to beat the kid, despite the fact that a prolonged counterattack was not necessary to ensure the officer'ssafety.

I have been arrested, however and harassed by cops for bullshit like smoking pot. I said it was a dangerous high speed pursuit... That means the cops were pursuing this guy at high speeds in vehicles. That can cause what's called a "Car accident", (do you need me to explain to you what that is too?) in car accident's, innocent bystanders normally get hurt.
And yeah ya know.. I think cops should just give criminals a nice pat on the back and say "Good job" when they catch them.
Motherfucker deserved a beating and he got a beating.

@pmzqabel We are not angry with the police for being an authoritative force here to protect us. You see if police simply just protected us from those that we truly needed protecting from, then it wouldn't be a problem. However, many officers let their power go to their head, and think they can abuse citizens. We aren't protesting their protection, we're protesting their corruption and LACK OF protection. I hope this clears some things up for you, but you'll probably just ignore my comment anyway

No, I understand where your coming from and what you say is true. However, 90% of the police out there are good cops. They aren't these abusive monsters that the media makes them out to be.
Propaganda Video's like these are made by criminal scum in an attempt to stereotype the few rare "bad cops" out there.
Also, let's look at that cop in the beginning of the video as just your average male human being.

@pmzqabel I see your point, but It doesn't matter if theoretically about 90% of cops are good, that still leaves some corrupt. The requirements for cops needs to be much more strict to ensure that people who will abuse their power aren't patrolling the streets. Plus if the US spent half as much money on addressing underlying causes of crime, such as poverty and unemployment, as they spend on making rick people richer/happier, then there wouldn't be as much need for protection in the first place.

They just sit around on there asses all day whining and blaming imaginary reasons as to why they can't get a job.
And no they sure as hell don't spend time trying to keep the rich happier, it's just that rich people don't commit nearly as many crimes as the poor.

And I'm not saying that the stereotype of cops should come from these cases of brutality, i'm saying that much more effort needs to be put into making sure that people who would hurt others out of anger don't become officers. And my neighborhood is just outside of the ghetto so yes i know what people there are like,and they're there now because their families have pretty much always been poor

@pmzqabel part 2/2 if you're poor you aren't given nearly as many opportunities for success as those who already have money. Our society has decided that problems can be solved by simply killing or detaining the ones causing the problems. However you can't kill or detain an idea, so crime will continue to escalate until the government decides to actually address the reasons that cause people to commit crime. Who really CAUSES the problems in the first place, the criminals, or our leaders?
