  • where can you get your clay and sculpies and the stuff to make it shiny

  • kool

  • Brilliant! I would never could of thought of that :P

  • can i use liquid fimo for the shine?

  • @ilansas1234 No. That leaves a flat finish. A high quality clear fingernail polish will work though. The cheap ones tend to turn yellow over time.

  • i have a laca for fimo, it will work 2? @GardenOfImagination

  • @ilansas1234 Not sure what laca is???

  • @GardenOfImagination oh, i am from the same place as she. laca is glaze finish glaze from fimo

  • @GardenOfImagination I was thinking anit it the same thing

  • thnks for sharing!

    love your work!

  • Instead if beads could you use brown clay

  • @webkinzluvax3 sure.

  • Do you like Premo brand best because it's softest, has the best colors, easiest to use.. or what?

  • @LolaColaMS Premo is actually rather stiff. That makes it hold tiny shapes well though. It's also "bendier" than some. Colors are not always greatest. I mix with sculpey sometimes.

  • OMG THAT WAS AWESOME I LOVE THIS VIDEO TY FOR THE HELP LOL MAKE MORE!!

  • @TheKristy1100 Thank you.

  • to make it shiny could you use some of the krylon stuff after you bake it?

  • @mikaneo Sure.

  • Does the moist texture of the clay make the soft pastels' dust stick or do you have to put TLS on some types of clay

  • @Kittylove219314 It just sticks by itself. No need for anything else.

  • Does fimo clay have to be baked?

  • I subscribed to You. It's just I really like making things for my dolls. I make things for American Girl Dolls but it's the same thing. Just bigger. And thank you for all the amazing tutorials. I also have a request that i would want to see in you'r tutorials. It's a cake. Like a birthday cake with candles. That would really help thanks.

    can you use real chalk

  • hi im 13 i still play with dolls but i dont care...lol i love ur channel i am very artistic do u think u could make like um just a slice of pie or something like a slice of cheese cake im dieing to get something sweet for my dolls

  • does hobby lobby sell polymer clay?

  • you cant peel a apple, but great video

  • @Tnikit You can use a potato peeler

  • @Tnikit And you can't spell. You can peel an apple. Just use a potato peeler.

  • Where do you buy chalk pastels for a cheaper price? I live in Canada so the only art stores around is Michaels.....

  • @XoXForeverStarXoX I shop at Hobby Lobby. You can check online, but I'm not sure.

  • @XoXForeverStarXoX go to michaels and go down the art and paintig ill and get them

  • @XoXForeverStarXoX do you have a wallacks around you? its a pretty good place

  • @XoXForeverStarXoX I got 36 chalk pastels at michaels for $5 dollars. They work great!

  • Thank you! I look forward to seeing more videos. I like your instructions. Nicely done.

  • can u just roll the slay in the red shalk instead of brushing it?

  • yes, but then it clumps and doesn't look as natural.

  • you should make a breakfast plate. Like maybe put bacon and egg and bread! LOL!!! why did you only have 10 min?

  • You can only post videos 10 mninutes long unless you are approved for Google ads.

A breakfast plate is a good idea!

  • Beautiful!!!! I am new to polymer clay and old to drawing and painting. I use pastels (chalk) often and want to caution you to wear a mask while working with the chalks. The fine pigments can impact your health over time. I know it's a pain to wear the protective gear. It's worth it though. Keep up the great videos. Thanks!

  • Thank you.

  • Awesome !!!!

  • Nice! Try an orange next!

  • This was so cute! Great idea by using the chalk :)

  • u can get it at michaels for i think 50 cents or 99 cents each i sorta forgot but i got pink and white :))

  • if you don't have chalk can you use a thin layer of clay to cover it?

  • Yes, but it just doesn't work as well.

  • If you would take the apples and just keep them white, bake them, then take them out and paint it red, would it work?

  • Yes. It's just easy to use the chalk because it colors in various shades and the chalk appears more real than straight red paint.

  • was the ball of clay that you covered in red chalk was that baked

  • You can do it either way. If you bake it first, just use glue on the ball then roll it in chalk. Better if you don't bake it first though.

  • can you buy pastel chalk @ target??

  • No, I don't think so.

  • where can u buy it??

can u buy it at michaels or wal-mart??

  • Hobby Lobby for sure, but Michaels probably has it.

  • does it matter if u use premo or u have to use Polymer

  • doesn't matter

  • i didnt use a razor blade

my dad had one but he sez that im too yung to handle it so i used a wall paper scraper

  • That is so easy... thank you

I need to make a lot of apples!

Much better than covering with a red clay! then dusting

    Great job!

  • Is it possible to use any types of paint to mix into the clay?

  • yes, pretty much.

  • I know you live in the U.S. but I don't live there.

  • good

  • can you use just normal chalk?

  • Yes.

  • where do you live

  • Central Kansas

  • where do you get the chalk

  • Hobby Lobby.

  • what do you do with all of your mini- food?

  • My 4 year old uses it for her dollhouses.

  • why u use chalk to change the color? if you use some other paint then what whould you choose for that? can u explian in detain please.

  • You can use any acrylic to paint the clay but the chalk makes clay food appear real. It has depth and sinks into the clay for the apple skin. You would only use paint AFTER the clay is baked.

  • i don't have a razor blade! waht else can 9 sue? can use just a butterknife, or a steak knife?(don't worry my parents allow me to use steak knives) I LOVED the video!

  • Ask your dad if he has a razor blade in his tool box.

  • okay,thanks!

  • That is AMAZING!!

  • That! Was totally cool! I love miniatures:)

    sierra

  • can u use paint instead of chalk?

  • You can, but it looks a little less real.

  • awesome!

  • Thank you!

  • wow!that looks really realistic

    im gonna try it

  • Thank you!

  • can you make lemons?

    if thats ok i mean...

  • Check my other videos as it's already there! Enjoy!

  • Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics.

  • lol

  • cool!!! ill make those peelable apples...

hey uummm... could you try to make grapes???

if u cant u dont have to...

  • They are on the list!

  • ok when you mean they are on the list, do you mean on the videos you made or the paper list you have????

  • Yes. I have a 5 page list of requests from people and I work off of it. It takes me forever though... there are just so many.

  • could i roll my straw berries in those beads?

  • No.

  • where did you get your plates?

  • it's nerveracking because when ur peeling it looks like ur going 2 cut urself! O_o

    Angela

  • i was wondering, im using sculpey clay, (and i just tried this apple, and it turned out terrific, lemme tell ya!) and i have no idea how to bake clay, my mom says just to put the oven light on and leave it in there, but i know that wont work. what do i do!?!?!???!?! awesome vids btw!!!!!!!! you go girl!

  • Put it on a glass oven pan (that will never be used with real food ever again) turn your oven on it's lowest temp or 275F and bake your apples for 20 minutes.

    Angela

  • Do you cut it before you bake it? Or you could cut it before you bake it?

  • Yes, cut it before baking! It'll make your life much easier.

    Angela

  • Yeah! I love the double look.

    Angela

  • do you think you could make some onions? i mean i saw some in a book where you use real onion skin and wrap it round, but i cant get the shape right!!!

  • I'll put it on the very long request list!

    Angela

  • Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for sharing, Never thought of gallery glass, i have some left over. :-)

  • Thank you!

    Angela

  • AWESOME!! LOL I love the details

  • Looks good, tastes a little chalky.

    Angela

  • Can you use chalk instead of pasteL? I only have chalk...

  • Yes! You can really use just about anything to color clay and liquid clay. Chalk and pastels are great for hard clay. Paints are good for Translucent Liquid Sculpey.
