It is not "excellent blocking" when the crows and The Scarecrow are in a line. That's a boring composition. The crows just stand there doing nothing during the beginning of the song. They should be upstage swaying or skipping around in a teasing manner. The Scarecrow should be singing to Dorothy, not to the crows since he is explaining his nature to her. This is the purpose of the song, which was not fully realized here. The acting is contirved and misdirected, but the dancing shines.

That is excellent blocking in this scene!  And I love that dance you did in the middle of the song, I hope I can do that someday because I would love to play the Scarecrow.
