  • People commenting about anything analogue not being an absolute godsend need to shutdown their pirated version of ableton and enter the real world.

  • yo CHING CHUNG CHOW + CollaborationCHOW

    down BLING BLING LING LING?

    ye

  • Why does Korg keep coming up with gear I want faster than I can make the money to pay for it?

  • Imagine newcomer bands releasing their "monotribe only" debut albums :)

  • na jebanym telefonie robie lepsze patterny

  • I was skeptical about this little unit at first, but now i admit i am hooked on its sound big time!I WANT ONE BIG TIME!!!!LOL!!!!

  • I really am crying over the decision for no midi. Makes this unit just another noise machine.

  • @XYtoTheDoubleG It has sync in and out. Do a little reading and you'll figure out how to use it with you midi gear. Sync in/out is the biggest inclusion for me. Will buy for sure.

  • @XYtoTheDoubleG .. it would be awesome if there was a way to hook a keyboard to it , but i'm going to synch it to my drumtraks and tr 707, so i'm not going to cry much over midi.. there's other ways to sync it too..

  • That was horrible. Digital era is here you know...

  • @mikelo303 Tell that to just about every respectable dance-musician there is today and they'll slap you in the face.

  • @mikelo303 i hope, after a statement like that, that you are being sarcastic or march 3 '03 means something really extra important to you ..

  • You actually NEED two to make something decent with this. Too little drum voices, too little steps.

  • well there is fuck all new here with this little box not any thing that no one has not seen before same old sound in a new mental box

  • Hm, Midi was standard in 1985...why not implement it now? grrrrrrr

You don't have to think nowadays to wether implement a Midi/USB IN or not...you just do it, for God's sake.

  • @Aetila ...And you add at least £30 to the price. It doesn't need it.

  • @hello6am

Well, just put in an USB for "MIDI OUT", that would do.

  • midi midi midi. stop crying. this thing kills.

  • there's sync in/out in monotribe!! almost all old sequencers like a first mpc's have a sync In/out with midi Ins/Outs. also you can get midi/sync converter for cheap and problem solved. so stop making such a big deal;P

  • NO MIDI???

  • Nice...! But no midi, even for clockspeed?

  • No MIDI, no USB???? That's the problem. Otherwise it would be a great little synth.

  • want! ive got the monotron and i love it (and for 60 bux how could you say no?) i knew these wouldnt be far off

  • Brilliant!

  • people thought the 303 was garbage so now we regard each piece of garbage as the next 303.....that is pretty smart.

  • Don't worry, the mono will have midi, memory and multitimbrality you just have to buy your way to that point and twenty years later after spending the price of an original minimoog you'll have some sort of analog electribe and a roomfull of test products you paid for.

  • @builder2000 sad but true! ;)

  • Beginning: Kraftwerk- Geiger Counter :D

  • When it'll be available?

  • 4 people have no fingers.

  • Cool - im getting one for my birthday. Around £160 in the UK....good price for analog.

I reckon we're getting closer to seeing a true analog mono being released. Congrats Korg.....keep it up.... :)

  • the keyboard on these devices is pretty useless... i have a lot of fun with controls though, on a monotron. it would be great to have a keybord as a separate unit.

and to reissue MS-20 too! :-)

  • will buy one..will buy one..will buy :-)))

  • LOL The guy playing this is so bad

    the monotribe looks cool though

  • I'm in love.

  • battle toads from nes style

  • this is a joke synthesizer? what does it give that no other synth can? it has nothing that can be useful for what it probably costs

  • @djomercohen it's budget analog, plus, it's portable, easy to use, shit man, this is synthesis 101 right here.

  • STFU + TAKE MY MONEY!

  • Comment removed

  • If it's less than $200 I'll take one right now.

  • What i like about this is the distinctive mini pops sound, it really reminds me of that good old seventies drum machine that featured so prominently on Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene Album.

  • @Kofla2000 :-) ok me too LOLL ;-))

    grtx from Holland

  • Chemical Bro's style....i LOOOVE it!!

  • I pity the fool who disliked this

  • Thank you thank thank you, KORG, for bringing back the good o' days of analog. I do hope the likes of Roland and Yamaha join the game soon.

For me, I'm going to save up for these type of gear and stop spending on plug-ins.

  • I will wait for the Denkitribe video.

  • @Kofla2000 Denkitribe? I'm new to this.

  • @Martzoerst Search in youtube for Denkitribe and you will shit bricks!

  • @Kofla2000 Done. And done.

  • hey i like the beats, but theyre a little repetitive, are they able to be longer? with more measures

  • i love analogic song !

  • Youd have to manualy sync by ear.

We used to dot this before rewire and midi loopback software.

Id sync hammerhead and TS 404 manually.

People can be really lazy these days and expect these things to do everything.

No built in loops here you have to tweak them yourselves and this looks great for looped stuff.

Though I agree, youd want more than but not at this price.

They should offer discount on your second purchase to encourage sales.

A good few people will be buying these to mod themselves.

  • How can one sync this to a midi setup? I have NI Maschine and Id like to buy a monotribe but only if I can sync it.

  • It seems a little half-baked to me. However I think a lot of people will jump on it simply because it's 'analogue'. It seems like you need at least two of them working in tandem to get a half decent result, and even that's questionable to me at this point. Perhaps my mind will change as I warm to them, but until then, I'll stick to my EA & ER1's.

  • @PorticoMono the monotron is kinda the same like the monotribe: a fun toy to play with. does not want to take serious. i like it.

  • Its going for £170 in the Uk

  • @creepjoint Could you tell me where? I thought the whole thing was supposed to be announced at Musikmesse, but was leaked early, that it's already in a shop's database is surprising...

  • It has midi sync, for jamming here thats all you need

  • @oxblood it does NOT have midi sync

  • Screw MIDI. This thing looks like a lot of fun..

  • It sucks that these don't have MIDI, but if the price is right, they're going to sell a lot of them anyway. I imagine that there's going to be a lock of mods for these in the future.

  • Can you answer some questions for us? E.g. does the Monotribe have any memory for patterns, or is it only possible to play it live with only 8 steps available? The other question - are the drum sounds editable in any ways? TIA.

  • @shortsleevesmsc No pattern memory, only 8 steps, drum sounds are preset and are not editable

  • Yes!

  • awesome

  • At last! It looks great.

  • oh yes please !
