We need energy to be strong and unfortunately the democrats have severely weakened us to such a degree we have to search it out elsewhere, so we have a vested interest in seeing to it that we have cheap energy and that's why we have to be in those countries.

Some of the ignorant things I've heard in this election cycle, as I'm a petroleum geologist and know a lot about energy, is that there are other viable energy sources available that would alleviate our need to be in other countries. Other than coal this is BULLSHIT, there are no other reasonable, viable energy sources in this country. We have plenty of sources but no technology to use them, and the oil co's don't want to invest in new technologies that may never be viable. So it's a catch 22

Wind power alone on Reservations can supply a third of the nation's current energy demands.
