I think we'll be ok. Obama is super popular, and so were Stalin and Mao. However, Obama is nothing like these men. They were dictators (and despite what Savage says, Obama is not), and they were profoundly idiosyncratic men (Obama is not).

Look, it's a silly cult of political personality -- like what Republicans do with Reagan. Almost everyone I know is a liberal; they all had crushes on him during the election; now most of them have settled down to the reality that he's a slightly wonky centrist. Surely you're smart enough to come up with some real criticisms of his administration instead of raising this baloney spectre of totalitarianism.
