Johnny Wilson was stunningly beautiful, handsome and massively strong. The way he could throw guys around was awesome. Used to be such a pleasure to watch him on a Saturday afternoon.

Thanks for the nice comments guys xx...its great for me to see that some people can see Big Daddy for what he was. glitterscratchplate: I don't think he ever went to the USA but he wrestled a lot in Europe, mainly Germany (where he met my mum), he stood a fair chance of winning belts over there & yes he did used to have hair! ha ha, I have the pics to prove it xx

Mal Kirk was a great ring villain. I remember him in the 1960's on TV, in black and white, with a crew cut, before the shaved head look. I know he wrestled overseas, not sure if he ever went to the USA, he would have made a fortune there as huge villain.

Used to love watching the big guys,Kirk,Haystacks,Daddt,and the fast guys were,Rocco,Veidor,Jones,Dynamite Kid.
Back to the 70s,love it.

Mal Kirk used to give me nightmares as a kid. He played the baddie to absolute perfection :)

@petejellis Quite right,i used to hide behind the settee on saturday afternoons,a pastime only repeated in recent years,when Peter Beardsley was playing football,and the new Daleks have appeared on Dr Who.

don't know what year mal kirk died but,brian crabtree's comment about them carrying mal out came true,he had a heart attack in the ring before daddy had a chance to land on him,rip mal.
