All ive been feeding my ants is plain honey and water. and alittle sugar water. what can i use for protein?

@Coolyaya12 Ants will eat almost anything but their favorites are fresh vegetables and fruits such as cucumber, lettuce, apple, celery, or broccoli. Feed them tiny pieces every other day as needed. You may also want to try small bits of grains, or granola.

Actually, my music company runs and manages this store, which has blossomed into a wonderful second business and worldwide bioliterary movement! @blaster274 Pretty much, but just different ratios of protein to sugars/carbohydrates. Some are more carnivorous and some more sweet-loving. There are of course exceptions, e.g. specialized feeders like fungal-growing ants and ants that live exclusively off secretions from subterrestrial farmed arthropods.

@ctarshis01 it is illegal but there was a nuptual flight last night May 24th of Carpenter Ants if you want to go out and look under logs or rocks to see if you can capture a few Queens
