  • awesome model! any chance of seeing it after final painting?

  • @capitalgardener If you check out my other videos you can see the finished model, the video is titled: ARMORTEK - Sd.Kfz. 222 1/6th Scale Armoured Car. Glad you like it.

  • wow, thats really cool. I even like the music battle of britian is it?

  • wow, thats really cool.

  • Respect! But why the vehicle is red?

  • @SchutzePL: As I mentioned in the description the next job is to finish the final paint scheme as the model shown here is still in it's red oxide primer paint finish. Check out my other video showing the completed model titled:

    "Armortek Sd.Kfz. 222 1/6th Scale Armoured Car"

  • You can see a video of the completed model by searching for "ARMORTEK - Sd.Kfz. 222 1/6th Scale Armoured Car".

  • These R/C models are works of art !

  • when suddenly from around one of the cars pops a 1/6th Sherman haha...

  • Panzer Elite

  • omg its tiny!

  • hello were does the train trck lead to cause it looks realy long oh and by the way i have to say well done it looks great

  • The track used to form part of a large loop but now it's just one long length with buffers at each end.

  • say, mr abbott, what should do to join the Von Abt kampfgruppe?

  • very nice m8, bet the wheels wont stay shiny for long!! Im getting this model soon so it can run rings around my 1/16 Tiger!!!!!

  • I've added a video showing the finished model in it's DAK scheme, you can check it out it's titled "Armortek Sd.Kfz. 222 1/6th Scale Armoured Car" - Enjoy.

  • whi is it red

  • It painted in a "red oxide" primer as per the full size vehicle, I initially tested it like this before applying the final "dunkelgleb" top coat as would have been seen in North Africa.

  • "In 1909, the supervisory board (German equivalent of the Board of Directors) of this corporation forced out Horch. Horch went on to found Audi, Audiwerke GmbH, which became effective on 25 April 1910. The name was a solution to the legal dispute with his old company over use of the Horch brand."

Don't quote Wikipedia, until you read it all. In 1964 Audi became subsidiary of Volkswagen AG!, but AUDI alone was founded in 1910!

  • How much does this model cost ?? I love the sdkfz 222 since i had seen in for the first time in "allo allo", Grubers little tank :P

  • A good friend of mine own the original "Allo Allo" Gruber's little tank, it's on display in his privately owned "History on Wheels Museum" near Windsor Castle in England. That was such a great comedy series. The model shown here was originally around £1700, not cheap I'm afraid but it's built to last.

  • Yes this is the luftwaffe march

  • The palm logo was only temporary, just to see if it was the correct scale for the model.

  • Good question - the model shown here is still in it's primer red oxide colour as it was still under construction. The model is now finished in it's correct DAK (North African) colour scheme.

  • I can see it now on the front page of signal magazine. Ken joins german army in personal vechicle. Barbie furious.

  • LOL Klaus Barbie was an actual German General during World War 2, and even better: His Command Vehicle was a Sdkfz. 222 xD xD xD

  • perfect for making movies i want a couple armortreks but there expansive!

  • Is this music from "Battle Of Britain" the movie? Or somewhere else? Cos it sounds frighteningly similar except played with different instruments.

And by the way, that's one hell of a nice model... except for the fact that its red, it looks historically accurate with the equipment.

  • youre right its the soundtrack of "the battle of britian" movie

  • Hey, what powers that thing? Just batteries or a battery pack of some sort? It looks great, I love the paint job, though I'd like to see it in black, dark blue, or a camo color too.

  • In this video it's shown in it's red oxide primer, the whole vehicle is now finished in a more appropriate desert tan colour for North Africa. There are two 12v batteries coupled together to run a powerful 24v electric motor.

  • Cool, and you can recharge them?

  • That's correct, the batteries can be charged overnight and the model will run for a good couple of hours. It runs off two 12v 5Ah batteries coupled together to provide a 24v supply for the main drive motor.

  • That's a hell of a model! I'd say you're lucky, but I'm sure you've earned it.

  • the way i see your videos on youtupe you must have quite a collection of armortek models

  • i can this kind of videos the whole day... and iam mean it! i like it big time!.... is there any way you can order anything like this?

  • If you mean the kit, you can purchase them direct from Armortek, they are based here in the UK. I'll post some videos of it in action when I get a chance.

  • thanks, is it corect that the kit cost over 900 dollars?

  • Yes, but more like 1,800 Dollars, it's quite a comprehensive kit and very well made.

  • well when i look at the video iam cetain that its worth the money, yet when i wouldt have to pay it scares me to death! :)

  • What is the name of the song you used?

  • The music is called Luftwaffe March and from the film "The Battle of Britain", it just seemed to fit.

  • It's nicely weighted, that's what I like about the Armortek models, the weight makes them ride so much better than anything else on the market. But it's not so heavy that one bloke can't lift it, glad you like it.

  • Is that vehicle heavy?...whatever it is, the weight, the suspension..it just looks to be perfect.

I have seen it on a few of the 1/6th boards, but it's nice to see it in motion,...."poetry in motion" if you ask me. Love the music by the way, and of course that beautiful railway.

  • lol, that was my sudden shock of realism of one of the models falling over!

  • WOW, That Armortek gear looks amazing.

This vehicle moves, steers and looks 1:1, first class.

BTW, did that bloke get stung at 4:34..LOL

  • Ha, Ha, Ha well spotted - I missed that, I'll ask Hugo how's the bite? Cheers.

  • amazing piece mate!

    loco ss

  • Uber cool Tiger332. Wish I had one!
