I do agree, some of 80's fashions have returned, unfortunately. Hopefully the mega-casual, less-is-more office wear which became popular in the 90's remains (I hate wearing ties!), and hopefully those ugly topsiders and ankle boots never come back.

Actually fashion improved in the 1990s (late 90s had great fashions). It was the 1980s that had such horrible fashion (leg warmers, stirrup pants, ultra high-rise bag pants, shoulder pads, mullet-perm hair-dos etc).

Yes. But don't u think contemporary fashion mirrors the 80's? As will the 90's mirror the next decade. I always thought the shoulder pads originated in the 90's. That's when they brought back the double breated jackets with the long collar shirts.Not one of my favorite looks. It's also a matter of when we grew up when deciding what fashion appeals to us.

Music in those days was about inspiration. These days people act like they are the best thing around. They have this macho or miss hottie attitude, and there's nothing to truly feel. Until something better, I will always treasure dance tracks of the nineties.
