If the songs "Call Me" and "Tonight is the Night" were released under the name La Bouche, they would have been more popular and their career would have lasted longer. Also, if Frank Farian, their producer had not focused on other projects, and had made La Bouche a priority, they would have been world wide celebrities like Milli Vanilli and Ace of Base.
lol, aweee a was driving with a friend the other day and he put this on and started singing and dancing to it then told me i could always call him, too cute :) <3

I do agree, some of 80's fashions have returned, unfortunately. Hopefully the mega-casual, less-is-more office wear which became popular in the 90's remains (I hate wearing ties!), and hopefully those ugly topsiders and ankle boots never come back.
Oh wow. The memories. The fashion sucked in the 90's and I wasn't a big Cobain fan. The economy was better and people were happier. Dance became really big. Thanks for this track.
Actually fashion improved in the 1990s (late 90s had great fashions). It was the 1980s that had such horrible fashion (leg warmers, stirrup pants, ultra high-rise bag pants, shoulder pads, mullet-perm hair-dos etc).
Yes. But don't u think contemporary fashion mirrors the 80's? As will the 90's mirror the next decade. I always thought the shoulder pads originated in the 90's. That's when they brought back the double breated jackets with the long collar shirts. Not one of my favorite looks. It's also a matter of when we grew up when deciding what fashion appeals to us.
This song is the end of an era of positivity in club music that was played in the mid nineties, around 1995 and on. This was before the overly sexual era of these days. Too bad that people don't have the spirit to make anymore trax like this.
i like your point of view...i have to agree..it seems like there was a lot of music that you could enjoy that was still kickin without all the sex poured over it like now...what happened??? if it wasn't for the fact that i can barely understand lyrics i wouldn't even listen to the radio these days
Music in those days was about inspiration. These days people act like they are the best thing around. They have this macho or miss hottie attitude, and there's nothing to truly feel. Until something better, I will always treasure dance tracks of the nineties.
So let's see if I got this right : Melanie sang with Le Click and La Bouche but chose to stay in La Bouche ?

Ahhhh. That makes more sense now. LOL Since 1997 now, I always thought Kayo Shekoni was singing: "All those pedohiles". LOL
But.... "all this petty fightin'" makes a LOT more sense, plus it really sounds like that after I listen to it. lol

In the song, I don't think she's saying "All these pedophiles." I think she's saying "All this petty fightin', all bout really nothin'".
