I have the exact same car, but my car it has this like child lock thing, and you have to pull it up before you put your car in reverse.. but question, did you remove it completely? that child lock and all. @littlexlisa2 Not all cars have a "pull up" reverse lockout (most don't). Replacing your shift knob should not interfere with the lockout collar under it.

It would be nice to have on a sequintial gearbox when the stick only goes up and down though 6 gears plus reverse. Especially when reverse doesn't have a special lockout.

@CKTV I highly doubt that- it came through from the factory with 325hp at the wheels. With my mods I am putting down over 400- naturally aspirated. Also its rear wheel drive- so I can rip it out sideways without using my hand brake. You drive domestic rice and you can't face the fact that a nice V8 would eat your shit up. I bet you have a wing on your focus...gotta have downforce at speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour. But thats good, for you.

Hate to make you look stupid, (Who am I kidding? I'm revelling in it), but front-wheel drive means UNDERsteer. Not oversteer.
And if you knew about the RS, you'd know that the differential in it kills 80% of it. Little bit of torque-steer but nothing I can't handle.
When I bought it, I made sure it was real... I went round it, kicked the wheel a couple of times, looked under the bonnet for a real engine... Yep! All present. So yeah. I'm sure my car is real, and I can handle that just fine.

It would be nice to have on a sequintial gearbox when the stick only goes up and down though 6 gears plus reverse. Especially when reverse doesn't have a special lockout.

mine is the real carbon fiber version, so I think is a high quality than the ones you can buy here in the U.S. I think they cost $169 and I paid $300 for mine. and I have short t. shifters in my cars
