  • or you can just use a laptop...

  • geesh ! I burn up 1 gig with a fart & a blink of the eye !

  • How much is it and can you buy it in the U.K and dose it run windows xp or windows 7

  • can play bf3 with that?

  • Kind of want a PC like this, but with hdmi, and then bluetooth for wireless m/kb, so I can just mount it on the wall behind my television or monitor and have completely clear desk space.

  • ma vendete anche in Italia?

io lo userò con XP per sony vegas e Linux Mint 12

  • WINDOWS XP FTW!

  • my EEE pc uses <35 watts and lasts for 9 hours, does 720p video, has a 1tb hdd, and 8gb ram, and can play crysis. just saying...

  • Everything but that "standard" vga cord looks sexy.

  • And now we play Angry Birds on our phones...

  • Dude ,heard of laptops?

  • but will it blend?

  • Comment removed

  • Where does all my porn go... ?

  • whats the monitor name?

  • still not an apple!

  • that is a very sick looking computer. but can it run at least minecraft ???

  • what about Mac Mini? :O

  • the comment says it´s discontinued.. Wher can I find up to date info and howto purchase nowadays? Thanks in advance for your reply!

  • specs?

  • @OoNopoO I can read on the bios screen, Via 500mhz,64mb ram. I couldn't get XP to run on less than 96mb, so the XP versions must come with 128mb+ :P

  • @GhostOfJulesVerne I know, its just a joke

  • can it play league of legends?

  • laptops?

  • But will it blend?

  • Tablet / Smartphone devices must have killed this thing.

  • but can it play minecraft

  • @gangstah849 I really, really doubt it.

  • i have the maplin solar panel AND battery BTW my PC is 1.4KW

  • You say it runs Linux yet you have windows @ 5:30 ??

  • @o0Te0zJTAG0o Description says XP or Ubuntu......

  • Specially modified power supply? Do you mean crocodile clips?

  • In stark contrast, my PC guzzles close to 1Kw of power in order to support its components (I've definitely heard of higher).

I really don't see the practical use of this machine unless you're providing the power through renewable means (i.e. solar or wind) and need to restrict power usage. In this case, you're better off with a mini laptop. You don't have to worry about rolling out a keyboard and connecting the monitor. It's portable. Need a low power monitor for this to be remotely great

  • @AonGuardian Is not having to pay such a high power bill not incentive enough? Energy provided in it's current form isn't infinite ya know.

  • @NGinuity I do agree that our current primary means of power supply isn't infinite, but I'm of the consumer group that wants the speed of these machines. One can easily take the stance of someone who can find many ways to bash those that use products that overuse resources such as oil/electricity, but that's not a war that can be won through 1v1 arguments. As for the power bill, I have a habit of turning off all lights and appliances that I'm not using, so my bill isn't really that high

  • We meet again

  • Just wait for the raspberry pi.

  • @R3Cat raspberry pi is pretty terrible, it cant even run windows xp

  • @ArimaSenne1 -_- Oh god, You're terribly ignorant. The raspberry pi doesn't run XP because it's using A completely different computer architecture. It's ARM based. Which is what is used in all modern phones and most tablets. It runs Linux or RISC OS instead.

  • @ArimaSenne1 lol, XP? Are you serious? I wouldn't even want to run that.

  • the modern cell phone has more power

  • I ran a 8GB CF Card on my desktop once and it was quite slow running XP... I went for the faster Sandisk Ultra and there was a factory partition that I couldn't get rid of to have the OS on it properly. I used a CF2IDE converter $5 on E-Bay! I later bought a REAL SSD! People will be grabbing up the "Raspberry Pi" within the next week or so because it's significantly cheaper Model B - $35US? Blows this thing out of the water!

  • @UnrealVideoDuke SSD hard drives are far superior admittedly, but I use a UDMA aware CF to IDE adapter with an 8 gig Sandisk Ultra card and it works quite well. Even though the CF card might say it's capable of certain speeds, at the end of the day it is only capable of what the CF reader can handle. I'm interested, was your CF2IDE UDMA capable? If it wasn't that would most certainly account for your slow performance.

  • i bet my phone is faster... and if you really want a small computer just buy a laptop LOL

  • WHY MAKE A PRODUCT LIKE THIS WHEN YOU CAN GO EASILY GO OUT AND BUY A TABLET OR I PAD WITH AN OPTIONAL BLUE TOOTH KEYBOARD?

  • eww... VGA *pukes*

  • raspberry pi fits in your hand too... oh and it's 25 dollars

  • @456thomas456 and 1080p playback!

  • Can it run Crysis??

  • aluminium

    not aluminum

    fuck this pc

  • or you could get a laptop

  • think id rather get a storm scout and some really good internals

  • lol Al-eu-mini-um

  • its like an opposite to my 650 watts desktop!

  • Tiny, solid-state PC's (no moving parts) but with real memory and computing power have now become things of more than fantasy. Today's analog to the E2 is over 100 times better.

Thank God. Compact Flash memory bricks? Really?

  • or just get a laptop

  • It would be cool if it can be powered via POE

  • @trs80do you could always use a POE injector @12v - cat5 is fine to run 8watts

  • Comment removed

  • But will it blend?

  • @MrNinjaBlade haha

    You bet it will!

  • DOES IT PLAY CRYSIS????

  • And you get all that shit in... a netbook! Simpler, isn't it?

  • cool

  • Do they still make Compact Flash cards?

    VGA Port???

    How Much. Too much.

  • I looked on there website, the stuff looks nice, good concept and all, but come on! those things are HORRIBLY expensive, how many starving Africans could actually afford those "computers" I was thinking perhaps 1 or 2 hundred bucks for a fully optioned PC that small...nope its $1,000+!!! No thanks! I could build a computer myself for less!

  • My phones faster than this crap

  • ok but runs minecraft?

  • *coughs* its called a laptop

  • I want the keyboard

  • Where can I get one of these? And are they cheap?

  • This is just for Doctors in their Office

  • ...uh yea no thanks.

  • lol 8 wats minus the monitor watts XD

  • D8 no hdmi?

  • who haves a aleutia E2? bcs i will buy it at a high price stranger jejejejej thank you xD

  • they don`t mention SCREEN power consumption. and next question is what is it really for? net books/pads etc... are smaller and more flexible. And flash cards have very short life when used as system disks.

  • Could just get a laptop

  • @honam1021 don't get your hopes up remember it only has a enough space for half a song and no ram hard drive and nothing is made for it

  • "the avarage desktop pc consumes over 200W of power"

    Pfft i'm picking up 850W

  • i like the moby song throughout the video

  • and if you directly conect the solar panel to the aleutia e2 will it still work?

  • a 90mb operative system O_O!!!!!

  • But, will it torch

  • I like how it's about as big as my Graphics card...

  • or, you know, you could use a phone or tablet pc.

  • Can it run a Minecraft server? If yes,it would be the smallest game server EVER!

  • Too bad they are discontinued. Do you know any products like this?

  • how many ghz is it and ram?

  • My full tower case fits in my hand... But not very well.

  • This is GREAT for a server for minecraft :P

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like to add gtx 590's in SLI to it, Will the solar panel power that?

  • BUT, CAN IT RUN CRYSIS?

  • Aleutia + Car + WiFi adapter = Never leave car.

  • can it play pacman ?

  • @rexza73 No, Pong is max at 5 FPS :)

  • Heh, I have a 1200W Redundant PSU...:/

  • specification PLS

  • How does mounting this unit on the back of a monitor increase security?

Just take it and walk away with it.

  • What is the name of the song used in this video

  • Check out Raspberry Pi. It's not as fancy, but it's not discontinued, and it's CHEAPER.

  • yes but does it play hd porn?

  • Uses just a little less than my 620 watt gaming desktop....

  • future is getting r tarded

  • apple already came up with this sadly..it called the apple mini

  • @Arlind86 Mac mini. And I don't think they're going for the same market here lol. This looks like it's more for developing nations where power is hard to come by and people who only need extremely basic use.

  • lacks dvd drive xD

  • eww, can it run windows 7, cuz windows xp sucks

  • Wow,SRTOR,Runescape,Netflix,YouTube?

  • is it in Canada?

  • should have HDMI to use as TV media center

  • seems extremely pointless for people in the western world

  • Can it run FarmVille???

  • @Darrelldjw1981 lol........ internet dummy.

  • @ethanalex102 I meant as in does it handle flash good?

  • why not just get a laptop..

  • Ok, the end result is that it's as big as a laptop.

  • But, will it blend?

  • Raspberry Pi!

  • It's good for installing on a car for browsing the web or listening to Pandora Radio with a 4G data plan and a nice 8" screen connected to it.

  • thumbs up if you are watching on a power guzzling gaming pc

  • @77guacamole you couldn't even imagine haha

  • @77guacamole dat 750w :D

  • @77guacamole

im watching it on a pII 970 amd vision black system

  • @77guacamole How about a dual-Xeon workstation?

  • @77guacamole 8 watts is the power needed for my mouse... loll

  • @77guacamole i am lol

  • thumbs up if you are watching on a power guzzling gaming pc

  • can it run minesweeper ?? XD

  • @rexza73 Every computer can run minesweeper, dummy.

  • @gmodkid1 No, a high end gaming PC can run minesweeper if it's lucky, a super PC will only be able to run Pacman, the most demanding game ever, and if lucky, Solitaire.

  • @gmodkid1 NOT a mac!!!!!!!

  • @ethanalex102 Even there is a mac port for minesweeper on the internet.

  • can it run the sims?

  • probably has a 500 Mhz processor..

  • But Will it Blend?

  • @BizzKyy trust me not funny any more

  • @ajohnstitch Don't read it then if its not funny.

  • looks like thin computer for me

  • Hooray for ARM

  • Ye gods, the the amount of people missing the point, this is designed for data entry, rugged pc's small footprint work ect. imagine building mini MAME cabinet with a small SSD drive or a tough weatherproof field PC in a tiny Pelican case .

With this there would be no need to step down in ballistics calculation to something such as smaller less efficient ballistic calculators .

Just because it's not some quad SLI gaming rig or Apple marketing doesn't mean it's not without merits.

  • @reignick1133 WE DID THAT SHIT WITH PEN AND PAPER, SCREW THIS HIGH TECH SHIT..JUST ADDS A LIABILITY FACTOR TO THE MISSION AND ANOTHER PIECE OF GEAR TO CARRY AND MAINTAIN...JUST FEEL THE RUSH!!!

  • @scottfree6 AND YOU BETTER BE ABLE TO DO THE SHIT IN YOUR HEAD TOO AND "GIT IT RIGHT BOA" THOSE EXTRA MOMENTS OF "CALCULATIN" COST LIVES TRYIN TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE G'DAMN THING AIN'T LOADIN PROGRAM..REMEMBER IT'S ALL GOOD WHEN EVERYTHING GOES AS PLANNED and everything works..ooops sorry fer scremin at y'all...but if it don't, and murphy's law kicks in you betta git yo shit squared away ricky fuckin tick lest you be takin a ride home with a nylon toe ring gift card!

  • @scottfree6 I realize and completely believe in setting a dope books and keeping calculations memorized but I was referring to setting calculations and chrono results to buld a dope book in more "friendly territory" this would allow you to build a dope sheet QUICK.

  • @reignick1133 ok, i see your point, sorry bout that overzealous response..but you know how it gets ya...i stand corrected..good idea

  • @scottfree6 No worries, the main point I was trying to convey is that this has a lot of possibilities for applications people haven quite though completely about.

Small projects and unusual odds & and jobs where a full size full power PC wouldn't quite cut it is what this excels at .

When possible caveman levels of simple works best, but when needed something like this can be a boon.

Things like a ham radio setup with this would be good.

  • @reignick1133 yes definitely true, as we are alwAys grateful for stuff that "works":)

  • 8 watts? Sweet

  • It's people who can make PC's like this that people in underdeveloped nations can buy/run who should be applauded. Not people who cater primarily to yuppies, like Steve Jobs.

  • is this computer fast how much ram have it

  • People who bought this should be ashamed.. pretty sure my cell phone out performs, has more storage, etc etc etc..

  • Ugly. Rather go with Mac mini!

  • over 200 watts? mine uses 460

  • i could put it in my 5.25 inch drive on my obsidian 800d

  • looks good!

    whe got these on school

  • wtf do you need a nettop for get a net BOOK!!! or laptop whatever suits you

  • JUST GET A LAPTOP OR NETBOOK YOU IDIOT

  • @kilkil300 drop your laptop then go buy one of these.

  • but can it run crysis?

  • Can E2 Support 32GB CF??

  • 1 Word, Laptop.

  • looks like ill end up taping an external hdd to this.

  • where is the music from the beginning from? It sounds so familiar...

  • @Earthling16 Moby. Don't know the actual song, sorry.

  • @Earthling16 Moby - Porcelain

  • can it run minecraft?

  • @Bonehead321123 I´m sure it can not :D

  • @Bonehead321123 what did you think, it can even run MW3

  • @pure1emre I see what you did there. XD

  • YES!!! 830 MB of storage!
