This car will OWN, you cannot argue with Formula One inspired engineering you just can't, it delivers the best results, proof? > This car's older brother the F1, and all of Ferrari's great cars - with the pinnacle being the mighty FXX. Mclaren has almost always been a worthy opponent of Ferrari in F1, and now it can be so off-track too, making something they call entirely their own...brilliant :D

Agreed...The ZR1 would have been an OK car if they hadn't been so arrogant about it. It's the hype and publicity that annoys me...Like for example: the way it's splashed all over the menus in Gran Turismo PSP, there's too much corporate synergy and general arse-licking...

@TVRnGTR It's because it's a GM car, and because it's such a huge company (bailed out over the credit crunch) - they can afford to pay out for corporate synergy promoting the car. It was interesting when Top Gear reviewed it, because it's BBC, they effectively have no sponsors to upset, because it's a Public Broadcaster; so they could just be brutally honest about the car, as they always are, despite present bias - in turn revealing the epic bullshit.

HAHAHA! I agree and I love topgear especially about the good review they did on the Z06, he was showing some of its flaws that no one else would show. KBB, edmunds, and all the other reviews especially car and driver never point out the noticeable shit when driving the vehicle such as the plastic bumper and crap quality interior, but for some reason you see all that on topgear.

Yeah, as said...Top Gear is broadcasted on the BBC, and big corporations can't touch it or bribe the BBC - because it's a PBS, and, which basically means it's non-advertisement funded - which makes Top Gear itself unique; in terms of the way is has virtually free-reign of opinion. It's a very free show, and if it where to be ported to a non PBS channel it couldn't work, because they would have to change the format of the show to suit sponsors. :)

Hmmm...that steering wheel at 1:48 looks remarkably like it was borrowed from Mercedes...they go on about saying that it's the best car in its class and they even had to borrow a steering wheel from a rival manufacturer (remember the SLS is a direct competitor of the MP4-12C)...so who knows what else they might have borrowed?

Still, looking forward to reviews on this.

It should be mentioned that this car is a development mule, of course you knew that, anyway, pictures of the 'finished' car are different and i personally believe they share no parts with other manufacturers, it's a hard boast to get away with if not true, looking forward to seeing this car.

This just sounds like an average sports car.

I recon they should have held the true essence of the McLaren F1, and trying to produce the worlds's fastest street legal car again, to me, its lost its essence of McLaren and is more like a Ferrari 458 Italia. and Lotus Evora. which to me is epic fail.(not the brand though)
