I would not be surprised if this video is linked to 'silsila ye chahat ka' from Devdas as the inspirational piece for the choreography of the song regarding dress, dance moves and somewhat frames as well.
in the name of globalisation we have lost our uniqueness in music dance and popular culture.. among kolaveri di and bhaag d.k bose, shila ki jawani , indians have lost out on great music compositions like this. while we have to go with the time but losing out on great things in the name of modernity is sheer stupidity. we will soon realise this but it will be too late.
Gems like this cannot created anymore, because those creators no longer exist....That was real India, with its own identity, now we have corrupt "art" and its corrupt creators...We are lucky at least, that we have such media, where we can go down the memory lane and live the past for a while... Thanks a lot for the upload!
This is one of my hot favourites from amongst countless sparkling gems of Lata ji. I remember performing it on stage as a child. What a composition, what a rendition and what picturization!
What can I say - where Shakil Badayuni, Naushad, Lata Mangeshker and Kumkum were there then it's simply a chowk CHANDNI CHOWK. WOH! WOH! What a WONDERFULLY MELODIOUS COMBINATION
