HEY ELLASKIN, I SO !!! need your help, i want to buy a mixer but im not sure which one to buy, i was thinking in a behringer ddm4000 but people say behringer sucks so, now i dont know what to do, im a profesional producer but never a dj, so im starting to get into the djing area and im trying to get some gear, im a digital dj i mean that i use a computer so i just need the mixer and some S.C... i have 390$ to spend in the mixer, PLEASE ADVICE !!!, i need it to practice

@TempsLaJoie I picked up the ddm 4000 for €170 (a 2nd hand one good as new), pretty happy with it. I'm mostly into producing as well and I'm getting myself an oldskool midi cable next week making it a very versatile midi controller... Of course you won't get the soundquality of Pioneer's new range of mixers, but you won't hear any difference in a regular bedroom setup. (you might when it comes down to fx)

Sort of an unrelated question but what is the best way of keeping track of what songs have and havn't been played at a DJ gig? I did my first event by taking a snap shop of my playlist and then I crossed out each song as I played it but I'm looking for a better way, and no, I don't have a laptop );

@jeremyelrick i think facebook will not allow you to post links under peoples posts in a comment. Try this , add the link, but add ( dot) com, or (Dot) uk, people will get the general idea.

The tutorials focus on essential principles and techniques that apply to music production.
