After Ness took care of Giygas' a 2nd time, defeating him for good, Porky's will remained evil, and he created his infamous army of Pigmasks and took his place as King P.

something tells me that giygas survived into mother 3 by means of using porky as a vessel. In mother, his body was destroyed, but he had enough psychic power to stay in this universe. In mother 2, he employed pokey to build a machine to give him his body back, but during the events of the final battle, his mind was scrambled, so he possessed pokey, who then went on and returned in mother 3 as porky.

Actually, Giygas is just the Americanized name for Geigue/Gyiyg. Geigue was specified to be male in Mother, and presumably would also be male in Mother 2 and 3.

Those who argue that Geigue is male site the pronouns used in EB0 and EB, but those are irrelevant since Japanese pronouns aren't male / female. The only ones that are are more like a term of endearment, and i doubt theyre used here.

The female side can only site a single NPC stating that he heard G. is female. My opinion? ... Genderless, although i put more stock in female since it's actually implied.
