  • God What a Talent,,, Thanks for Posting This,,, Great

  • Raul is even better and sexier than ever these days. But oh what a cute guy he was then.

  • Flock of seagulls haircut, ear ring, and a skinny black country... doesn't dress country! :)

  • Just saw him in St. John's, NL.....WOW......excellent performance......I am new fan!!

    A

  • i saw raul recently his a great accordian player with him now, his voice has really developed, amazing singer

  • Terrific voice -- reminiscent of the late, great Mr. Orbison

  • i think it would be an honor for an upstart band like the Mavericks to be introduced into the mainstream by the great Tammy Wynette. Tammy was so prophetic.....

  • i love this song and his voice is wonderful

  • classic!

  • This song was written by Jesse Winchester, and incredible folk musician from Canada via Tennessee.

  • @Marcus70815 I think this is raul's best vocal performance... Still...

  • TRES BEAU J ADORE

  • From which year is this tv-broadcast???

  • @Plejad early 90s

  • sounds like roy orbison a little. good video enjoyed it.

  • I wish I could sing as well as Raul Malo. Malo has such a throbbing, passionate voice...it's gripping, sensual and urgent.

  • Can't help but to dance to this song... omg so love his voice...

  • OMG SHUT UP I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • This guys hair is allways torn up, and that drummer is back there jamming out, I dig these guys. GREAT MUSIC!

  • Oh What a Thrill!!! Yeah!!!

  • love this song xx

  • What movie was this in?

  • @hoof565

Probably more than one, but the one *I* know it from, is "For My Daughter's Honor".

  • @Cooeeoh7

A favorite since I heard in on a Lifetime movie

"For My Daughter's Honor". Later the name of the movie was changed, so there may be some confusion as to what movie it was in.

  • i wish that they would play my towns library

  • I think the way Raul channels Roy Orbison in his singing style is really cool. There aren't many people who can do this, but Raul Malo does so with ease. I also wish the Mavericks would put out some new material!

  • Roy Orbison tribute

  • how about 2:57? mm mm mm

  • LOVE that bit where he rolls his eyes and grins, at about 2:39.

  • Nice to see the man with the voice that moves me so...

  • @KrystlLacey Sexy Lead singer!/

  • J'adore cette chanson !

  • Awesome voice! I've enjoyed their CD for many years.

  • @looseroots I cannot believe it is approaching 20 years. Man, time sure does fly!

    bluebayoufour

  • magical song

  • the drummer is having a whale of a time :D Dont blame him, this is a cool song

  • Nick Kane, the guitarist in the red shirt is soooooo hot!

  • Raul Malo is the singer. He is still performing and his voice has matured. Saw him last May at a free concert during SXSW at Lady Bird Lake in Austin. They were great.

After his band, we got to see Arc Angels kick ass.

  • oh it's such a rhythmic orgasmic chorus.

  • not bad for cuban country dude !

  • What year is this? xD

  • *sigh*

  • Got a nice backwoods flavor, spiced with a double-shot of desperation. Hot damn, this sounds like the real deal to me!

  • Sounds great, but...WTF ..is going on with Malo's hair ????

  • You're right, seventiesclassic. Looks pretty gay doesn't it? Like the hair and the song sorta don't actually belong on the same planet at the same time. Sure do like his voice, though.

  • Rockabilly, more so than "Country". Awesome in any genre.

  • Thank you for posting this, it is wonderful. I really miss these guys, no one is making music like them now.

Also enjoyed Tammy Wynette's giant blond hair! It is a wonder of modern chemistry.

  • ;o) I did just the same as you;o) Greetings from Norway;o)

  • I remember these guys when they 1st came out. Robert was then married to Trisha Yearwood & I asked him if he was Mr. Trisha Yearwood. He got pissed! LOL

  • I don't usually listen to country music, but these guys are really good.

  • "Amy, its time."

  • That movie's the reason I came looking for the whole song. I can't get it out of my head (fortunately, I like it.)

  • My fav song from them.

  • Raul was not married to Yearwood. Reynolds the guitar player.

  • Raul was married to Trisha Yearwod.

  • This is a good song...im a heavy metal at heart and grew up in the 80's and the mavericks was the first country music i tried to listen to because i wanted to have some variety...then i listen to their music in 1994 when my father died.

  • I love this song - The Mavericks are wonderful. Raul has such a terrific voice. Was this their first hit? The first time I saw them on a video with lots of action - in color - on a Nashville country station I became a lifetime fan. I'd like to know their top songs. Thanks for this video. - Paula
