how much on average is it to maintain your license? I am looking to get a recreational permit and wondering how much it would be, I am a canadian, but id assume it would still be a ballpark figure for americans cool video!
@MrRockinrocker Well really it all depends on how much you want to spend and fly a year. If you are asking how much it costs to get your license you are looking at spending around $6,000 average. I wouldn't waste your time with the recreational license, just go get your Private. It's only a little more work and you have a lot less restrictions then the recreational.
@MrRockinrocker The only reason you should ever get a recreational permit is if you are too young to get your private, go for your private the rec permit is a huge waste.
Beautiful flying... I love flying more than anything in this world and had hoped to make it my profession as well... Irealised my place was in the skies back when i was 15. But financial constraints prevented me from doing so... I do hope to learn once i start earning some day. You are indeed very lucky my friend, Keep it up. it's an honour. You should join the AOPA.
I was aiming for the Runway Aiming Point Markings which is right where I touched down. No since in making a short field landing because it would make for a long taxi. I've been flying since I was 14 and i'm 22 now so i've been licensed for a few years now.
I flew a cessna 172 yesterday. It was so cool. The control is very sensitive but its cool when you set on full throttle and level your alltitude. You get a good feeling in your body!

Yea the C172 is a great aircraft, very forgiving. It's hard to put the C172 in a situation where it can't recover on it's own including spins.
