most competitions offer RAW, single ply shirts, and multi ply shirts. Regardless if you lift RAW or equipped, you still compete with guys in same wgt class and same equip. There are shirts out there that are better than some but most single ply shirts only have a small range in how much they help. Typically a basic shirt can add about 10-15 lbs, and the expensive heavy duty shirts can add up to 40lbs if you train with it and learn the technique. I compete raw and equipped.

yeah, i know about the shirts
a lot of guys have tried to get me to use them
i just dont like the fact that some its not completely "you" thats making the lift. because the shirt is aiding it
no offense to shirt/ suit users

How can that possibly be 147kg? It looks more like a 45lb and 25lb plate on there >.>
shdwblnd 3 years ago
maybe because there are 2 red plates, which are 25kg, a big black plate, which is 10 kg, some spare change and collars? with a 20 kg bar.
so you have a 100kg from the reds, 20 from the blacks, 20kg from the bar. 5kg from the collars, and 2.5 from the small plates?
Sizzlorr 3 years ago
Oh, so there are. Forgive my jumping the gun. I'm not used to plates like those.
shdwblnd 3 years ago
yeah, no problem
most people arent used to it either
personally, i like working in pounds, its easier to calculate
