Truly impressive, Karl. You just made a liar of me with this.

I was discussing with a composer friend (Rob King, who's

also known as TruePiano1) that we, as a society, have

developed attention deficit symptoms en masse. I proposed

that we wouldn't be patient enough for a 10 min classical

piece of music --- and, if we did endure it, surely not without

a visual flow of images, photographic or filmic! I'm so happy

to eat my words here as this was so wonderfully engaging.

Yes, I like it very much, Karl. There are hints of greater things to come. Suggestions: you keep it in e minor too long; be bold about modulating to a few different keys for contrast; think about making this a multi-movement work such as a sonata or suite ala Liszt's Années de pèlerinage; think about changing the title (too many religious overtones). I think listeners would have trouble connecting an essentially abstract work with a title which they have little or no understanding of. Bravo!

@SHUNGABALI Thank you! Well I don't really like to explain completely why I chose a title, but the term "Pearls Before Swine" is a traditional saying meaning you shouldnt give such a beautiful thing as pearls to swines, because they wouldnt understand or appreciate their value.

@clarenceclose Many thanks! There are other composers who have influenced this more than Chopin, although he is a great influence aswell.

Beethoven, Liszt, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and maybe a little Rachmaninoff are probably more present in this one. :)
