  • It's a pity this video is too short. Very nice "pocket" supercell.

  • Haha no way, there must have been a storm above it and that little mini funnel cloud was hanging down off the back like they occasionally do. Especially little ones over the ocean that never really touch down.

  • The size doesn't matter. Hehe. ^^

  • thats the skinniest Cb i have ever seen 0_o

  • Whats the explanation behind that? Its not even really a big producer of anything, just the shear that made a meso but nothing else!

  • Wow it was just 7 seconds but it was awesome!

  • I think its a mesozyklone :) Nice!

  • It's like a mesocyclone, but the rest of the storm is missing, lol

  • Theres no 0:06...

  • wtf i'ts like so small, doesn't even look like a cumulonimbus, just looks like a small cumulus

  • wow, its like the "Willy Wonka's Office" of a supercell, it formed half way lol

  • @lionsforlyons i agree with you. idk bout him but you can clearly see the ffdd. and the meso to

  • @lionsforlyons

Yes i see it and found another Video showing the same cell. It's oviously a supercell - my mistake ;)

  • @lionsforlyons

A Thunderstorm-cell is defined by a Updraft AND a seperated downdraft with precipitattion. I can't identify a downdraft in that Video.

The existence of a mesocyclone (rotating updraft) is only one hint for a supercell. Its defined as a long living local area of deep convection with a mesocyclone. This video shows just a few seconds of the system.

  • @theclient91

There are supercells that are classified as "short lived" and "long lived" categories. I've heard of some tornado producing storms that last no longer than 30 minutes. doesnt happen often but it does, especially in areas where they are less frequent like the pacific northwest or southwest

  • Thats no supercell -thats only a spinning towering cumulus.

  • @theclient91

Ironic comment because the spinning effect is what makes this a supercell! Thus mesocyclone :)

  • Definitely not a tornado, no contact with the ground. Just a very local area of convergence. Perfect LP supercell.

  • Thats a tornado.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Not a tornado. LP supercell. LP's look strange sometimes. There is barely any rain in an LP. They can make tornadoes though :)

  • omg ?

  • Lol? :-D

  • ????

  • Lol, that's not a supercell..it looks more like a cumulonimbus tornado ha ha. No that is impressive but weird I've never seen a storm grow like that.

  • that is a small lp!

  • Short but amazing development of LP suprcell !

     5 *****

  • amazing 7 seconds fails to give justice.

  • love it
