  • Keep it classy, Canada

  • if i was a cop and i saw a car turned over i would pull out my gun and say get the fuck away from my or ill shoot cause you know inside that these ass hole make are country grate rite (sarcrasem) i hope these people who were rioting have slow painful deaths

  • pooor dogs :(

  • Hey look its all the fathers and mothers of the punks who did it this year.

  • @8M4C hahaha

  • Boo Hoo

  • Excuse my language ! EXPLICIT! This moshpit needs music haha I'm sorry people behave this way and i'm sure it's not the averrage canadian causing this, there's always someone screwing it up for the good ones, Love Canada and i'm glad there's fans backing the team up but when it comes to trashing the city like that they suck major cock and will continue doing that in hell.. come on it's a game with 2 teams there have to be a winner and a loser.. this time the city loose not just the team.. sad

  • i hate canadians. greetings from europe

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU dont hate on canadians, hate on the idiots who provoke stuff like this to happen

  • this footage from yesterday right?

  • @fuclcjewtube

look at when it was added dummy

  • @TheMcrub yup yesterday

  • Caknuckleheads

  • @SkrillexRoxMahSox Canuckledraggers

  • Lol @ vancouver

  • fucking pussyies

  • @bigonotorious. You deserve to get shot at for standing there. All the idiots standing around taking pics were just as much of the problem. Stop listening to rap, find a job and get out of your parents basement.

  • Thumbs up if the June 15, 2011 riot brought u here haha

  • If you were down there just watching, you were turning it into a spectator sport...you deserve to be tear gassed or shot with rubber bullets as much as the assholes who were openly rioting and looting. Your presence there only fueled the fools who where causing the damage for the attention. People standing around laughing at the violence and destruction are just as moronic as the idiots causing the violence and destruction.

This is not what we are about...don't show the world it is.

  • By a Canadien Cop.... thus your reference to if it had been in America it would of been worse because the cops would of shot them them you ignorant moron

  • Comment removed

  • what a bunch of fucking losers!

  • So what's the real story, here, John?

  • i was at the riots today and I was just standing minding my own business watching it all go down and I got shot at by a cop, good thing i ran otherwise i'd have to sue some cops

  • I am so ashamed to say I live in Vancouver,

    people are fucking disgusting.

  • i remember when this happened i thought that the police brutality was the problem. now it's clear that the fucking assholes who were rioting and are rioting now for the same reasons are the problem. if only they would set themselves on fire. i'd be tear gasing the fuckers if i were a cop too.

  • @taurusincident Yeah, people have to realize it was a gang of anarchists.

  • retards. all of them.

  • okay mybe not theres a small riot going on

  • tazer... tazer.... tazer...

  • should of had gasoline bombs for the pigs.... pig roast?

  • holy crap that was so long ago they all must be like 65 yrs old now.

  • As for who deserved to win? The best team. And they did.

  • The difference between the States and Canada is that in the States people would have been shot and killed. Guns, thankfully are illegal in Canada so most of the violence did not result in deaths.

  • @brentkn lmao... you seriously need research before speaking. What about the kid in critical condition in vancouver for taking a rubber bullet to the head??? That was an ignorant statement brentkn

  • Vancouvers more safe a prepared this year.

  • @CodPk sure bud

  • Heavy metal, Alcohol and Cocaine. Thank you 90's

  • and the Montreal fans actually tipped some police cars and started some fires when they WON a series a few years ago, last year I think.

  • Comment removed

  • Hmm. This happened the year before I was born. I'm really excited about the playoffs and I was actually in Vancouver today for our second win over Boston (FUCK YEAH), but let's NOT have a repeat of this, hm? Win or lose, a great team will be hoisting up the cup...I just hope that it's OUR great team.

  • so for a so called "riot" just note how quickly people got out of the way for the ambulance... i'm just sayin'... and apart from a bunch of obviously drunk dumbasses fighting amongst themselves... looks like a bunch of people on the street to me. i have heard bad reports about the VPD also @pranays.

  • old lady at the end there like: "wats up now mutha*&^%$s?" lmao!

  • No one deserves to win when they act like this, and why dont you all stop with the youtube drama bullshit

  • @Kastrenzo74 The Canucks deserved to win .. not the punks that you see here. Get your facts straight

  • @offthelinegt No one deserves to win in sports, you beat the other team or you lose.

The only exception is when the officials are wearing the other team's jerseys. Figurativley of course.

The rangers beat the canucks fair and square. but it was nearly 20 years ago, and they are in the finals again, the past doesnt matter. But if there is another Riot it just goes to show how poor sports the city of Vancouver is, Ottawa, Edmonton and Calgary didnt riot when they lost years ago.

  • So many familiar faces...what an embarrassment. Hopefully history doesn't repeat, but if it does, I hope Vancouver fans of 17 years later can show some self control.

  • I was right there in the middle of that in 94. Infact 1 of our group (T.H) was the first person in BC to be charged with "insighting a riot" by our courts...He got a year in jail.. I was 18 then.. When we heard what was goin down, about 40 of us from Surrey jumped the skytrain and headed d-town for the fiesta...WHAT A NIGHT...WHAT A MEMORY!!!!!It was TRULEY one of the peaks in my life...WAY MORE MEMORAFULL, THAN IF THEY HAD ONE THE CUP.. I was PROUD to be a part of the loss that night.

  • @immegabustamanspimp1 you obviously didn't finish school

  • Haha I know that dude crowd surfing at the start.... he was one of the guys that climbed on the trolley cables over the crowd. he made it across though. the guy that fell was WASTED! theres footage of him in another video climbing across the cables right before he fell and he's sooo sketchy, you can totally tell he's gonna fall... and he did. thats when it all went bad.

  • Lol the hobo at 1:46

  • forget the fights... check out some of these awesome haircuts! all right!!!

  • Wait wait wait... is this an attempt at making Vancouver look like less of the idiots here? I'm sorry when I came to this video I was still on the fence and now I can firmly state that this grunge era of idiot teens and adults chose to not leave, they were not captured and they were not held, they were pushed back away from the corner where they all formed and dispersed to 4 different corners. People were hurt, police and paramedics couldn't get to them. You wanna party in the streets, make room

  • @MissBobbyMcGee77 We're you there? I was. You can 'firmly state' nothing, unless you were there. Seeing the video on Youtube doesnt count...

  • @liennto No but I've been to several street parties on Portage and Main in Winnipeg with thousands upon thousands of people as a child and an adult... And guess what. We didn't start mosh pits and throw things at cops. They were trying to clear the streets, it's simple. Get off the streets. You pay police to protect you, they were informed to take you out, so get out of the way.

  • @MissBobbyMcGee77 your point is all too valid. but welcome to the real world. I grew up in Vancouver and me and my friends were (are) the nicest guys you could ever meet. we were all there, and yes, the video looks bad, but the cops were so unprepared, and so scared, they simply launched into ass kicking mode and everyone got hurt. It WONT happen again, I promise. The Olympics last year were far more crowded than in 94 at Robson and Thurlow, yet not a peep of disturbance. proper policing.

  • @liennto The Olympics took so many military security going down though. Imagine what would've happened if Canada lost..... You never know man, you just never know. Yeah the cops may have been unprepared, they were WAY out numbered, how would you deal with a thousand people to one police officer, yeah that's intimidating. But no I wasn't there, so I can't say for sure exactly how it all went down, who started what and so forth. All I can say is I see both sides of the story. Still make room!

  • @MissBobbyMcGee77 Very true. Dont get me wrong, Vancouver has no shortage of complete idiots, then and today. Lets hope we can balance the fine line of proper policing with people having a good time in the streets. I think we're already there, by the example of 2010. I cant post the link, but theres a good article in the Tyee about the 94 riot... one of the better accounts I've read. Peace, and GO CANUCKS!

  • @liennto Winnipeg just took over Portage and Main today with less than 10 people while everyone else was at the Forks. Thousands of people were out today. It was absolutely great. Gotta say it's been good being the affiliate team, but I hope that Canada together can cheer for Winnipeg today!

  • @MissBobbyMcGee77 yes! congrats to Winnipeg!!

  • @liennto Good luck tomorrow, now that this whole Winnipeg thing is out of the way we can all go back to watching the Canucks dominate! Cheers

  • @MissBobbyMcGee77 Super stoked for you guys... Winnipeg people have a great rep around here... Toronto? not so much. ha! youre a muso... me too... i just subbed your channel. check my faves ive spent years saving great music from a drummers point of view. peace to you

  • @liennto In the meantime. GO CANUCKS GO!

  • every person in this video looks like terry and deaner

  • @Cballin lmao

  • Just a typical looking day in Dead Rising 2

  • I'm sure this was fun for both sides (the drunk idiots & the police)

  • EVIL YOUTH!

  • retarded white ppl

  • @bg604 hindu chink spic, they were in that crowd too.

  • @bg604 there were niggers there as well.

  • i remember this back in 94!

1:33 some asshoe took the robson st sign

  • i remember this back in 94!

  • go canucks go

  • I'm not sure that's the "Real Story" as you purport. Drunk fuckers came here from the suburbs and started tearing apart the city, getting stupid drunk, looting, etc. People were getting hurt and the police were required to intervene.

  • @zenimus The French CRS's tactics against a long demonstration march is to attack it at several points and chop it into segments, rather than to merely try to block it at its front end. If the demonstration turns violent, police will seal roads and other exits to contain protesters in a single area (known as kettling) to prevent widespread damage and wait until the protesters tire. Perhaps Vancouver's tactics could use improvement.

  • @zenimus The VPD has already said the old riot was a great learning experience. It was the first real test of civil disobedience, and they have stated that even is in their minds with the playoffs this year.

Added to the fact Vancouver has grown hugely in the past decade, and the allocation of extra funds for police in case of a Stanley Cup run, they will be well prepared. Just look at the planning of the Olympics.

  • the german shepard was into it and rthe big fat lady wanted to "go" with someone

  • I love seeing a police dog chewing on a loser maggots leg! I'm glad some guy got killed by a rubber police bullet. I love seeing skulls of creep loser pieces of shit, crushed in and bleeding! People that blame the police for this are fucked! Looting--assaults--completely out of control mental cases. I wish the police would have mowed you all down with shotguns! No loss to society at all!

  • @fender4444 YOU NEED HELP. I'm sure there is a support system available to you for your mental health issues.

  • woulda been nice if they told the crowd someone fell from the wire me and my brother seen the one guy but not the guy that fell people were moving out of the way for the cops but then the bike cops started to hit some of the people moving the crowd away from the ambulance.. that got tempers flaring then and we were pushed into a square track for 4 hours till we were able to get to the skytrain and get the hell outta there....hard to believe it has been 17 years eeeesshhh...

  • This is unreal. I can't imagine this happening now in Vancouver.

  • and I did not get any 'real story' from this watsoever. reminded me of the olympics tho, minus the rioting. damn those olympics were crazy, whoop whoop !

  • LOL i just got to vancouver with my backpack and tried pannin in that shit LOL.. I miss being homeless...Thems were fun fucking times ...

  • I was there that night. I went to Robson and Thurlow after the game it was getting wild then. I went to the bar had few beers and started to trip on acid while this started to happen. I walked though downtown yelling yah go Canucks whooo. I managed to get out of downtown early morning to find we made world news that night. It was just the few that caused the riot. Damn shame because Vancouver really hasn't been the same since. One of the reasons I wouldn't live there again.

  • I was working downtown that night. It all started because some dummy tried to climb the trolley wires and fell. The Police were trying to clear a path for the ambulance and the drunk idiots decided to push back. Don't for get the dummy that charged the cop with the riot gun then was upset because he got hit with a rubber bullet!

  • fucking sore losers. I live in Vancouver, and the Canuck fans are the biggest bandwaggon jumpers of all time.

  • @wardust02 every team has that get real. there are tons of passionite canuck fans who are also hockey fans. and then there is the bandwagoners/ strictly canucks fan. same ones who yell out ' why are they throwing the puck down the ice' .. when its on a penalty kill. not all nucks fans are bandwagoners

  • The police are NOT to blame since they had to use what ever resources necessary to regain control of an out of control crowd. People simply got stupid while being liquored up, tempers flared and well... the rest is what we see.

Everyone is quit to blame the police, but if you were a cop, you would have done no different than these police officers right here. I am proud of the cops for taking control and for doing what they had to.

  • Super Fun...!! Great Video...!!

  • Who cares about canada anyways lol

  • @theproducerspart2 Do you ever wonder why the world HATES Americans? Thanks for being the cause and reason the world has terroists. Thanks alot. Fuckin imbread moron!

  • @jordanjcm FUCK YOU YOU STUPID IDIOT! Your a fucking idiot you stupid canadian! This was over a fucking hockey game you dumb fuck

  • @theproducerspart2 Not juss a hockey game.. hockey means alot to vancouver somthing you dont understand.. You must be american.. but what i find is fucked why they trashed this beutiful city like wtf. i was 2 when this happend.

  • Im a canadian film grad and I want to use your footage as part of my documentary Id be happy pay for it of course. would you be interested

  • Its like a mosh pit!!!!!

    but where's the band?

  • and then the people at GM used a riot in vancouver to limit the amount of drinks you can buy at the stadium, anyone with any brains would know they didn't sell one drink at GM place that night cuz the game was in new york

  • those kids have awsome haircuts

  • the pussy ass cops were getting afraid the the size of the crowd and felt they were in need of some bashing and billyclubbing and tear gassing to let out their anger. i recently read 57 % of police officers are ready to quit party due to their superiors not recognizing the shitty job they sometimes do. the other 43% are in cahoots with the Hells Angels and the rcmp. Any1 agree?

  • did i just see a dude witha mullet haahhahahahahhaha

  • They invited people to party downtown, and unlike the other six games, where there was a cop every10', there was no police to be seen. ^ months later the CCU gets a new budget and all new gear. HMMMM

  • hhaha their like kids figthing on the road ahha

  • I doubt many of them were even Canuck fans....my boyfriend at the time was watching this on the news when it was just the beginning, they were showing it live when fist fights were breaking out etc....he and some friends figured they would go down there. they got tear gassed and chased by the cops and all that. i don't think he was even a hockey fan...some people just look for trouble, i don't think it matters what country you're from...

  • Why do Americans rip on Canadians while they all wiegh 200+ pounds... like fuck off you douche bags went from a retarded president to a black president, and Canada is free and those Twin Towers were nice until everyone in the world hated you and Osama and all the bombers did their job to show how bad America is

  • wtf is a nanook? some american word for ''douche bags can say this only'' ?

  • Sober up and use your 3rd grade intellect, fish breath...I'm pretty sure you learned about nanook of the north back in the 2nd grade...what's with the douche fetish?

  • fuck off fatty or ill report you

  • Do it, jackass...I doubt you have the balls...

  • its to bad the canucks suck

  • 2010. should be fun if canada loses the gold

  • The Stanley Cup is a big deal

  • im pretty sure everyone drinking and fighting started the riot, tool.

  • can anyone explain me what is happening on this vid plz?

  • The police started the riot i was there.

Some guy fell off the hydro poll; and when the ambulance left the cops did not follow it, then they panicked, and started pepper spraying people, and we fought back against police brutality.

Even the RCMP investigation said the same thing all my friends who were arrested were not charge on that defence.

  • Comment removed

  • You were not there! Another 27 year old moron who was not even old enough to be there thinks they know what happened you are an idiot to talk about something you never witnessed.

Every year thousands of people hang out in the streets of Vancouver after the fire work or on Canada day.

But the cops don't use unlawful force and it is fine that day they did and it turned in to a riot this is not some communist country we have the freedom to assemble anywhere. "Loitering" you are an Idiot

  • You are an Idiot only the USA has thousands of criminal on the streets of a City; not in Canada.

The rioting and looting only started after the cops used unnecessary force.

Those people on the van were pulled off by local civilians not by cops.

You are a typical American who thinks the world is the same as his crap society you live in a Criminal country even your presidents are war criminals.

People arrested except the looter were released without charge because the cops used unlawful force.

  • @pranays yeee!!!

  • The looting of store started only after the cops used unlawful force.

So 2 people climbing poles and 10 or so who rocked a van and were stopped by other citizens hours before the riot is justification for tear gas, pepper spray, dogs and knight sticks.

Clearly you dont know what happened you are too young to have been there and your facts are mixed up.

Fuck you moron go live in China you communist pig lover.

  • "Dangerous people like me" you are a moron you were in elementary school when this happened and were not there.

The police did use aggression and started the riot they pepper sprayed people for no reason it is caught on camera. They sprayed people that were even trying to help them.

You are an Idiot and are talking out of your ass I served this country with distinction unlike these corrupt poorly trained losers in the VPD. They are the worst police force in Canada.

  • Comment removed

  • You are distorting the facts the destruction and looting started after the riot police came out and started shooting gas NOT before.

PS @mrjames2000 only children do this just reply to the comment like a real man.

  • Unlawful gathering" What a load of crap there is no such law in Canada asshole this is not the Nazi USA

We have the right to gather and assemble anywhere anytime. It was proven and agreed on by the complaints commission and the independent review panel. All the charge against the rioters where dropped on those grounds only looters where charged.

So you are the one PRETENDING to know what you are talking about. You are just another load mouth stupid American who knows nothing about the world.

  • You do not have to in Canada

We do not live in a police state we do not have to tell the cops about any gathering it happens all the time

    This is a free country.

I have repeated that over and over you fucking moron get your head out of your ass you dim wit.

  • No you got own because you make bullshit assumptions about thing you don't know.

Is it really a win when the Independent review blames the cops?

You are an Idiot and you are the one that got owned retard.

  • The hooligans got their arses kicked, that is a win for the cops in my opinion.

  • @pranays exacley and thats just what we did during the olympics this isnt nazi america lol.

  • @pranays Shut the fuck you have no idea what you are talkingabout. Canada has a definite unlawful gathering law. If your gathering is causing a public disturbance and could cause people harm, you have NO right to gather. Get out of your communist liberal hole in the ground and realize that if you cause harm, you will be beaten down by the cops. The only reason charges were dropped were because there were over 800 people that could have been charged and it was too expensive legally

  • @pranays I live downtown and remember this. Days before, mostly hockey fans gathered downtown to celebrate the Canucks win. After it was shown how many people where downtown, after the next game, There where a lot of people that where there simply to be part of a mob, and with the sole intention of starting trouble.

  • Yes Ronnie I am sure there were a few as there are in any crowed, but the majority of people were not.

Also you must then remember that the investigating committee stated that the reaction of the VPD instigated the riot and recommended changes in policy and methods of crowed control.

  • Comment removed

  • @pranays Agreed. You take any large group of people, and there will always be people there to cause trouble and try to ruin it for everyone.

And on the other side, the VPD s not exactly known for their professional approach in a lot of situations.

  • @pranays were you there, did you see the people threatening the police officers and attacking each other? People pissing on each other and drunken behavior? If not you can shut your hole. The VPD does the best they can with what they have to deal with. I agree that a lot of force was used but when you are dealing with crowds up to 5000 people with minimal police forces order has to be maintained quickly before a situation intensifies. If you had any sort of *police* training you might know.

  • @pranays I went downtown after every game in the final series. There were police on almost every corner, bike cops, mounted cops walking cops driving cops. They confiscated beer and were having a pleasant time. The final game Ann Drenen, tv cop, comes on inviting people to come downtown and they were expecting no troubles. Then that night...not a cop to be seen, until all hell broke and out come the ERT. 6 months later new budget all new gear.

    And Victoria's cops are worse.

  • You don't know shit about the law

  • after game 7 of the Canucks/Rangers Stanley Cup Finals, fans and non-fans started fighting in the streets of Vancouver...

  • It's not whether you win or lose, it's whether you get to Loot that counts!

  • This is the foolishness that results when the govenment gives it people enough power o destroy themselves, and then punishes them for doing so! OH The Irony!

  • yup ... humans really come from the monkey ...

  • White niggers

  • lol you got banned you stupid fuck. probably from being the lonely asshole you are, going around posting shit like that. go kill yourself

  • wow..we really need a cup. thats so uncool of us haha

  • ...riot tonight niggahss

  • I really missed out on that one...I would've went ninja on those fuckers!

  • 2:00 - 2:15 looks like a zombie movie

  • Thats fockin nothing compare to the fotball riots in europe..

  • This vid is better: Stanley Cup Riot In Vancouver - 1994. And anyways it is far better than anything I can find in Sweden. Don´t try and compare 1 country of 33 million to one continent of 550 million you greasy Ikea fruitcake.

  • It doesn't matter this would be the case if we won it as well :P

  • and 15 years later the canucks still havent won shit! if the canucks were such a great team in 94 they would have had a better team in 94-95 that would have made it to the cup finals and won the cup!!... of course you could make the argument 'if the rangers were so good they should have repeated in 95', which is a fair argument and being a ranger fan i'll admit it!

  • IM a fan and Canucks are fucking doing bad I feel like there letting the fans down bunch of fucking bums!!!!!!!!
