The Meerkats are most likely one of the new familiar rewards from Treasure Trials they mentioned in the July BTS, they could also be NPCs for a riddle clue.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

As I said before, it's possibly a reference to that commercial I told you about. In it, they keep saying "It's not compare the meerkat, it's compare the market". Since there is 2 of them, are we comparing meerkats? =P
