  • i had something like that when i was a kid yet it was all out if plastic

  • I have always found it a little disturbing that amish people consider bicycles fundamentally different from pocket watches. At what number of gears or springs does an object go from being a tool to being a sinful luxury.

  • fuck that, i'd rather play xbox.

  • @thedumbasschannell lololol

  • since when do amish has computers and youtube accounts?

  • I mean, it's ok, but I wouldn't call it amazing. I'd be proud of it if I made it, but other than that I don't think it's anything spectacular.

  • "this is the most amazing... game". ok... what's so "game" about it?

  • wow. i have one EXACTLY like that. Amish, my ass!

the colors are the same, the paint on the animals is the same, it cost a lot of money.. the SAME O__O

  • lamest marble machine ive ever seen....

  • cool machine

please watch my video popsicle masterpiece, it really needs more video.

  • How did you make the release mechanism, can you make a close-up of that plz?

  • @meinefresse94 sorry, i don't live close to this thing at all, you'll just have to squint :O

from what I remember, the release was just two bent metal rods that were attached to the wooden balance beam—the one that catches the marbles as they fall—one attached to each side of the nail you see. the beam pushes each rod up just enough that it lets the next marble though (and stops the next one).

  • @dragfyre Thank you, I can try to figure something out,I really want to build this one, or something that comes close to this:)

  • 100% Amish made you say?

Since WHEN do the Amish make marbles?

    huh? Huh? Huh?

  • @bRadicalmagic1 i dunno, go ask em br0

seriously though, marbles are glass, and glass-blowing is really old technology. i wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the things the amish were allowed to use

  • @dragfyre making marbles isnt glass blowing

  • omg i eeally want to make this myself,, its amazing

  • Just think....technology has progressed through the centuries and finally brought us this......

  • if i wanted to see balls drop over nd over i shud have just recorded myself gopin through puberty

  • this is what amish people use as video games

  • wow Amish Hi tech ...

  • when I was a kid, I got this kit that came with some wooden chutes and marbles and stuff so that you could make setups like this. They were like blocks though, so I got to put it together myself, and build it any which way I pleased. That was pretty fun. This looks like it would get tiresome after a while because it's the same all the time. I guess it depends on the age group. They make toddler toys like this, and little kids love them.

  • that looks like so much fun!!! :D

  • I agree with your comments, dragfyre. The modern world has truly taken the imagination out of kids. I think this is a cool toy, and I'd love to see some kids nowadays using their minds to build this thing. Too bad there's so much computer-related nonsense in the world. I feel sorry for the human race if we can't appreciate something like this creation.

  • I agree, but I still think this toy/game sucks. for it to be fun, it would require kids to build it, or to build other new, exciting things out of the same simple wooden pieces. A kid who likes this is probably going to be either really young or really bored.

  • @SobeDragon7 ....or Amish ?

  • I'm sorry but I would have to disagree, if you're deep into computers such as I am, there's 'engineering' challenges you face just like in the 'real world'. You have to think of creative ways to go around problems, or solve them with programming.

  • @BrianSkullDude Have u not heard of LEGO ? or LEGO TECHNIC ?

  • what part of Ohio do you live in?

  • I don't live in Ohio - just visiting. I think this was somewhere around Hamilton.

  • Kids that are used to watching house of TV and playing video games would be bored but kids from a different culture may not be bored with a toy like this.

This is amazing in that the Amish typically don't use power tools. In fact they don't even use metal nails. They make nails out of wood.

  • Television sucks the imagination out of us, doesn't it? It's the sheer mass of entertainment available to us in the West. Kids all over the world would be fascinated with a toy like this because their entertainment options are more limited, and hey, there just aren't many toys that are as cool as this. Depending on their age, they could spend hours or days having fun with it. Not so when we can go to a store and have anything we want. But does that truly make us happy?

  • that is so easy to make...duhh..

  • Amazing feat of engineering? come on its

a marlble toy not the space shuttle.

  • who knows... if a kid plays with this, he might grow up to work for NASA.

...well, ok, maybe not if he's Amish, but still.

  • @dragfyre do Amish people even believe in Space ?

  • Wow, being Amish sucks.

  • Yah thats one of those toys that a kid will play with for 1 day and think to themselves "Damn this is really boring..."

    still pretty cool tho

  • nice

  • short

  • looks like our solution to fossil fuel!

  • GENIOUS

  • hes not Amish hes just filming!!! get it threw your tiny heads, unless you are Amish and you've broken the rules of your people.

  • lol

  • and one more thing, he never said he was Amish, he said the Mechanical Marble Toy was.

  • you have solved the puzzle!

  • @popl43 Where did you throw my tiny head? oO;

  • @popl43 Get it THROUGH your tiny head it's "THROUGH" not "threw"!

  • Why people saying it's not Amish 'cos you're using a camera. He never mentioned the camera...

  • lol

  • lol amish? why is he useing a camera?

  • i never said i made it -_-

  • to Asdam: thats slightly random.......

  • amish made yet theyre using video cameras lmao

  • lol no

  • Well thats new! using gravity to move marbles, why didn't we think of that?

  • Most amazing game is Black for the ps2!! Lets kill some russian dudes!

  • But will it blend?

  • OMFG!!! I LOVE THAT!!! Did you see the Guitar Hero 3 one? HE SMASHES THE GUITAR AND BLENDS THE NECK!!

  • lol yeA!

  • or the Halo 3 one.

  • or the Halo 3 one.

  • I love Will It Blend!

  • KOOL!

  • Thanks. Simple concepts, yet, that yellow flip-flop switch just gave me an idea on my kinetic marble design. Thanks!

  • now if only there were a mechanism to move the marbles back up to the top...

  • that would be impressive... like that penguin game.

  • I like it. very nice and clever work.

  • Cool.... I love the release mechanism. And horay for the Armish.

  • (heart) Amish

  • not bad
