  • Love it when Laurel said he kissed the other fella and the all lived happy ever after that was a good one.

  • This is one of my favorite routines that they do from time to time.

  • The Three Stooges paid homage to Messrs. Laurel and Hardy in 'Booby Dupes'.

  • Brilliant

  • they are the most two funniest guys ever to walk this planet

  • Tell me that again... "well if beauty was only kn.. skin deep, I could take some of the money an.. and i could have her skinned, then she'd be able to look at a clock without having to work anymore, then we could settle down and I could scrape her chin" xD so funny.

  • brilliant its just a pity u never included the one from their 1st mistake

  • I literally, I mean literally fell off my chair and sent my beer flying when he said "I could have her skinned" Oh my god, that was funny!

  • i love love love love love these 2!! brilliant! lol

  • The two geniuses. The best ever. Every other comedy team is a footnote to Laurel and Hardy.

  • @WadeyBoy........

    Tell me that again!

  • just superb

  • this will still be funny in a 1000 years, i'll tell you that again!!

  • Totally agree! They were the best by a mile and there will never be a comedy duo to come anywhere near them again! Even though I've seen their best movies again and again, I always find new things to laugh at with each subsequent viewing. Their classic movies pack in a remarkable amount of clever, subtle touches that highlight their comedy genius and sadly confirm that we will never see their like ever again!

  • By the end, it sounds like William S. Burroughs wrote it... like a cut-up!

  • My boys! I love them.

  • I would like to get the best clip where the Japanese Sandman is the theme music.

  • I would like to get the best clip where the Japanese Sandman is the theme music

  • Yes I recermember them he he Ulver Stan

  • I think the scene from OLIVER THE EIGHTH is my favorite - I love how Stanley keeps coming back to "wouldn't have to work hard any more..."

  • genius is eternal.

  • To all of these comments, I add my AMEN! While I have affection for all the classic comedians (Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, WC Fields, etc.) , Laurel and Hardy will always be my favorites. Their films were always on television in the 50s into the 70s, and the first video for my VHS I ever bought was an L&H compilation. I wish, too that their films could be available on DVD. I'd be there in a heartbeat!

  • @WSenator1 They are on DVD. We have a couple.

  • @WSenator1 - If you could share information on obtaining such DVD, please do so. Thanks!

  • @WSenator1 There are complete sets available from the UK on Amazon. If you have a region free DVD player (or one you can make region free), it's a pretty good deal.

  • @GarudaStudio - Thanks for the info. I'll get right on it!

  • Tell me that again.

    Come easy go easy.

  • Stan Laurel died 3 weeks before I was born and he will always remain one of my true heroes. Genius. Laurel & Hardy were the best ! Long live Stan & Babe!

  • Fantastic compilation! Thanks for that!

  • Love that bit at the start of the "Fixer uppers" clip, when Stan mistakes the painting for the woman..."So you won't talk huh ??"

  • I wish Laurel & Hardy's 20 minute shorts were out on DVD. One of the best comedy series of all time, long before television even existed.

  • lol so funny!

  • at 2:42 the background is Twentieth Century Fox Ranch where MASH & Planet of the Apes were filmed - also Dukes of Hazard & F Troop , many other shows - located in Malibu Canyon Fox Ranch has been used for filming for many years

  • Hahaha at 2:52 "So you won't talk, eh?!"

  • "he gave his wife a lot of money and kissed the other guy because he made him jealous..."

    hahahahahaha oh man!!!

"You bet your life its a good idea"

All Stan's ideas START OUT as quite good ideas actually! thats whats so funny!

oh man how do they do it???? - all these years later and you cant work out how its done

  • Words of wisdom from Laurel. :)

Lovely footage. I think my favourite moment was when Hardy said- " That's the first time you have shown any intelligence." Laurel replies- "Well, it is the first time you have listened to me... ". That's quality humour.

This is so relevant as well. These things happen in our daily lives as well. My friend and I are very much like Laurel and Hardy... it is a coincidence. We sort of look like them as well. :)

  • does anyone know where i can find all the audio laurel and hardy shorts at..is there a site or something where i can watch them all

  • his explanations still sound more plausible than any of them on The Apprentice at any rate lol especially about selling the fish!

  • Ollie: "I'm beginning to think that you're right."

Stan: "You bet your life I'm right... You know I'm not as dumb as you look."

Ollie: "You bet your life you're not. What do you mean you're not as dumb as I look!?"

    - Their first mistake(1932)

  • That is some brilliant dialogue !

  • LOL. Stan Laurel plays the vuvuzela. Classic!

  • genius...................

  • isnt that one of those horns they had at the world cup?

  • a vuu vuu zala or somthing like that, yeah it looks and sounds like one

  • I love watching comedy, but when i do i tend to laugh into myself !

These two are the only people who i can watch and be not able to breath with laughter !

  • Ollie always understands Stan's ridiculous explanations. I do like how at 0:34 Ollie is clearly worried that Stan has "been thinking" haha.

  • I love that in Towed in a Hole where Ollie just parks the car right in the middle of the street.

  • Interesting about Oliver Hardy and Curly Howard from the Three Stooges: Hardy was born in Georgia, Curly born in Brooklyn, yet both pronounce the word "certainly" almost the same way. Interesting!

  • Absolutely awesome!! Only these two Genius's can make simple diologue like this sound hillarious.

  • Stan and Ollie forever !!

  • The legends of comedy

  • dar in romana nu e

  • Love Laurel & Hardy!

  • They are just fantastic and there will never be anyone like them again!!

  • God, this stuff is so funny. People automatically link L&H with slapstick but they forget how good the dialogue was. When the talkies came along they adapted and took advantage perfectly.

  • They have no peers. The greatest comedy duo ever.

  • Laurel and Hardy are the best comedy actors of all time

  • @ninetalescommander you can say that again, them and George Formby!

  • Wonderful, there has never been anyone to compare to L&H. They are true comic icons

  • The first clip is the most perfect example of sublime comic timing. I first saw it many years ago and it is a joy to find it alive and well onYT.

L&H were, and still remain, absolute masters of comedy.

  • Absolute genius.......so far ahead of their time..

They got Laural & Hardy. What did we get ?

    Fricken Ant & Dec !

  • aww that was so funny. this comedy is immortal--how old is it now? yet its still funny and its loved by every generation

  • 75 years and counting! Here's hoping for a comprehensive DVD release in the near future.

  • haha yeah thatd be great...and i just realised it was a silly questions with the dates displayed in the actual vid XD haha

  • @chrisivision07 Not only do I second that, I millionth that. Mr. Laurel and Mr. Hardy (yes, one should address them as such) are THE team.

  • @Juliaflo - I'll BILLIONTH that!! I love and appreciate all the comedy greats: Marx Brothers, Three Stooges, Jack Benny, etc. But if you told me that I could watch

L & H movies for eternity, you could take me away right now. Like you said, THE team, THE men (not the Boys, as they are usually referred to in their films), forever the Greatest of All Time.

  • @chrisivision07 I second all the way to gazillionth that.

  • @chrisivision07 There already is one. You can get it on Amazon. Every film they ever made in one dvd box set.

  • ;@derangedband it is from between the late 1920's to the mid 1940's.. :) they are some of my personal favs

  • The Best Duo EVER.

  • Was Emo Phillips inspired by Stan?

  • This is truly a great compilation of these GREATS...

    A terrific posting..!

  • 'Well, you can do it much cheaper by the week!' Genius!

  • You could pay for the furniture outright and you wouldn't have any hounds in your fireplace.

  • we could skin the wife then she could look at the clock without working hard then i would scrape her chin and then we would settle down....GENIUS!

  • Good observation - I never noticed that they use the same technique but retain the humour.

  • LOL!! Although Stan could not be more wrong when he comes up with a plan, Ollie still continues to say "that's a very good idea."

  • "I could have her skinned." How can Stan get so confused.

  • cried with laughter!

  • Thats a good idea....

  • i love the last one best.. made me laugh .. thank you so much. it turn out to be a good day after all.. : )

  • the 3 stooges did the bit at the beggining in one of there clips.

  • Friendly Hi there! But who did they(The 3 Stooges, luv em!) get that gag from? You guessed it L&H!

-Sean McCabe (Son the exhausted Ruler)

  • And when the 3 Stooges made If A Body Meets A Body-a remake Of The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case, they even had Fred Kelsey play the lead detective/cop-the same role he played with Laurel & Hardy 15 years prior!

  • If Stan Laurel were alive today, he could make a fortune writing political speeches!("That's a good idea!" MMM!)

  • Cool. Thanks for posting.

  • You really know your Laurel and Hardy. Great editing job!

  • Great clip!
