If georgia opened fire on a civilian town, city, then it is a legal obligation of the russian federation to respond, according to the agreement dating back to the collapse of the USSR; atleast it is not half way across the world. Wrong...Russia is conducting a mission to eliminate any remaining weapons that Georgia could utilize to further their acts of aggression against civilians. If there are caches of weapons within a city or town, then it's unfortunate but the Russian military has no choice but to go in there, and destroy them (the weapons, not the town or civilians).
