@TheWilliamGeorge actually, dc has been much more gracious towards kirby. at least on any kirby concepts they use (omac, the demon, etc.--he at least gets creator credit) plus the estate does get a certain amount of $ due to use of some of the characters. (I mean, the only time kirby gets creator credit for marvel--other than the movies & TV--in the comics is for captain america...)

i was really suprised to hear that stan lee actually went to him to help draw spiderman but he didnt do it the way stan lee wanted so stan went to steve ditko instead.

I'm so delighted to find this wonderful Kirby tribute!! I have a lifelong admiration for the man and his art. Nothing brings out the kid in me more than pulling out that trunk of old comics and going through my Kirby collection!! Pure magic!!!.......

Mr. Kirby was really nice to everyone at the con I went to as a kid and I still have the signed copy of "Special Lawsuit Edition of Destroyer Duck." I also had the pleasure to thank Gene Colan for his wonderful works, at Comic-Con two years ago.

Sure would like to meet Ditko...someday.
