I think a way to make it not so jumpy would be, instead of instantly jumping to the position in Kinect, the character would change position smoothly. Sure it won't be exact, but it may stop it from jumping around so much.

Even with glasses and a kinect,how would you walk around, you cant actually walk around, you'd run out of space. Would either need some special device to stand on or a controller of some sort i believe. I guess you can just use the xbox controller but it wont be as immersive as actually walking around.
