I got 2 deployments...2005 and 2008...both to Camp Falcon...but we used to go out in convoy to others FOBs ....and ...yes...there are worst places and better places than Camp Falcon....I was there when the AHA got hit by a mortar...we were in a building next to the AHA ....not a really nice experience....but a still alive.....RIP...to all my friends and soldiers that did not come back alive...!!!!

i dont know why everyone thats been there says they hated it... me personally it was the best fuckn base ever. course i was usually at outposts scattered throughout the fuckn desert so i guess im just looking at it in a different way.

camp falcon blew balls. I was there in oif II. There was nothing, we had a chow hall, a px that rivaled a 7-11, and a smoothie shack.

I was at Falcon in 2007 for about 7 months and i would have to say this was probably one of the better places by far that i have lived at in Iraq. Yes we got mortared but trust me, we were not the only ones in iraq getting mortared!

@llaracuente yeah I was there 06-08 with 2BCT 2ID 2-12 IN BN and we got hit every single fucking day and if not mortars then they're were sniper fire! Falcon sucked badly!

What a shit hole. My post wasn't much better... but that place looks like it sucked... especially with AHA's blowing up. Screw that- it was good enoug seeing it from Rusty down the road a few Kms.

Yeah I was in falcon from dec. 04 - june 05. It sucks so bad there. no big px's, incoming mortar rounds all the time, when it rains mud everywhere, dfac is ok, everything is so brown there. Now I'm out of the army. I will be going to the Los Angeles sheriff academy soon. How times go so fast. Bless our troops
