Most likely EA will simply extend the contract out for as long as the NFL will allow them to, probably another 8 years.

There will probably not be another brand of NFL game until Goodell is no longer commish. Even then, the new commish will have to be like Tagliabue or David Stern of the NBA, and not sell exclusive rights; so no guarantees.

Hopefully in 2012 when EA's contract ends with 2k, they will continue with the 2k games.

Go to the forums at OperationSports and get updated and classic rosters, the game plays different and better with the new rosters, so it kind of is NFL 2k9. It's actually a better upgrade than Madden gave us year to year, which was just fluff. From 2001 to 2009 on last gen it's pretty much the same game. Next gen Madden is just horrible if you want to play an NFL sim.
