but i use guitar pro 6 so drums dont sound too bad

you say you use a recording software to record this? thats fine but you can just export to wav if you wanted to, there will be no lag. just make sure you have it set to how you wanna hear it, (i.e. if stuff is muted/pan or metronome is on etc etc. it will play it the way it would normally) what i normally do is use Line 6 Pod Studio for my guitar/bass and export drums only to wav. then paste in reaper then record my guitar parts etc. its really nice when you dont have a drummer :D

Hey, nice man. Im also a person who composes on guitar pro. from small jingles to complete songs, i save whatever musical ideas i hav on GP. In fact, i've also uploaded a vid using one of my compositions as the music, pls check it out ..oh and btw yes its freaky that their basic melodies are very similar, but no, i didnt plagiarise u lol
