JBL are one of the best, not necessarily have the highest power series but they boast quality overall in sound reproduction, and big SPL added together. so I agree with Baumsteigage.

I had a couple of these for a while...They made great paperweights after I switched up to Ascendant Audio subs...Luckily I didn'thave to blow mine up, I sold them for $50 each, after only paying $35.

The cone pulled all the way in allowing the + & - teriminals to hit the aluminum which caused the sparks. I tried to physically make it happen again by pushing down w/ my hand and couldnt do it. Thats FORCE!
