  • The Cure forever <3 I hope they'll keep playing and making music for a long time in the future...This song is definitely one of my favs

  • still obscure and great after all these years... (it doesn't matter if we all die.../please love me! meet my mother...)

  • qst canzone spakka...w i cure

  • This song is creepy as hell

  • how is what I said offensive.I like this band=)it's pretty obvious.

  • la canzone di FAB -----> dARI

  • Pornography is my favorite Cure album. Every song on it is peerless. There are no words to explain how great The Cure were at this point in their long career. They were at the height of their powers, even more so than during Disintegration-and that's another classic, but nowhere near as powerful as this one.

  • 24 seconds into "Short Term Effect" and you feel like the chasms of the universe have swallowed you.. but in a beautifully sad way.. that's the power of the whole album. Amazing. I first fell in love with the album about TWENTY years ago! I can hardly believe it! And just tonight I had to buy Pornography on itunes because I missed it and wanted to return to that place. Sigh.

  • I love this song.

  • I can't believe this song was written twenty six years ago! Nobody write song like Robert Smith! Pure genius!

  • Does this song refer to the Falkland war?

  • listen to it late at night in the complete darkness, preferably on stormy weather.. your life won't be the same again

  • all time fave, changed the way i see life 25 years ago.

  • pure perfection.........

it doesnt matter if we all die!

  • What an amazing song from one of most impressive albums of the 80s

  • 26 years ago...nothing has changed

  • except music has gotten worse!

  • yeah but there's too many people in this world that don't realize it.or are in some sort of denial.

  • the best, IanCurtis's right. tells it all in one song, and who can do that anymore?

  • Absolute lead in Gothics around the world, show tremendous respoect to Mr.Smith.

  • Pure sadness.

  • im 15 and i like The Cure :]

  • I love this song...The distorted guitars, the jumpy drum machine...The lyrics are so nihalistic, it really conveys the angst people get in their youth.

  • I listened to this album for almost all of my spare time for about a year when it was released. I swear i almost wore it through. Random. Never heard one better since.

  • when it was released? that means that you are old XD

  • It was released in the spring of 1982. I'm 40 now so I was 14. Yes, I guess I'm old now. Thanks for bringing that up.

  • haha, alight, then i was 2 years old back then

  • The most frightening(read:best) song The Cure ever recorded. My all-time favorite.

  • robert smith = the joker

  • is that good or bad if hes the joker?

  • its about his make up.

  • oh, he doesn't wear that much make up! just eyeliner and lipstick.

  • "it doesn't matter if we all die..."

    Such a great song.

  • yeah, robert is the best song writer of our time.

  • My favorite Song by The Cure. My brothers is Pornagrphy which is also a good song.

  • i <3 the cure.

  • I remember being absolutely gripped all the way through the first time I heard this song

  • Thats a cool song i wish to have this on my party

  • wow

  • Beautiful.

    From Argentina.

  • educational

  • "A sound like a tiger thrashing in the water...thrashing in the water!" Don't know why but I like that lyric in this song! It sounds a bit poetic, and I like the intensity in which he sang it!

  • great song!
