CK wants his viewers to share his morbidity and humor at the same time. He has dealt with his depression via comedy, and so in order for him to relay this to his audience genuinely, there is an element of despair in many of his sketches. I personally think he should separate the two, that way, he would be able to write great drama, and absolutely hilarious comedy. This one for instance would have been hysterical if it weren't for the last bit and the depressing music.

@Otzmatron I absolutely disagree :) That last bit had me laughing for quite some time. I have hundreds of "funny" comedians to choose from that are all classically "funny". Thing is, the world is filled with people like that and I get to interact with them in real life.

Now, Louis has that blackness (lol) that makes his humor inappropriate in real life, but in a comedy routine, is very freeing/refreshing.

I love laughing at all the sadness in the world and in my life, that's why I love Louis.
