  • LOOK AT THAT BIG SEXY BRAIN

  • 'This evening it is probable that I will find myself engaged in some manner of altercation until the young Dawn, with her fingertips of rose makes heaven bright.' Beautiful. You've read your Homer haven't you?

  • Do you follow Dr Johnson on twitter? Sounds like you would enjoy his tweets: @DrSamuelJohnson

  • I must say that the allusion to the Odyssey in your description of dawn was both genuinely ironic and decidedly uncalled for.

  • Dear sir,

In light of the comments below regarding your interpretation of "blowing up our phones," I would like to offer an alternative. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to state "exasperating the threshold of our phones" instead.

    Good day, Sir

  • Brilliant

  • BRAVO!!!!

  • freaking hippy cut your dirty hair

/end bash nykotene bot version 2010

  • great stuff.

  • Surprise! The music video for this is first thing in suggestions. *sigh*

  • Would you be mad if I did this with another quality release from the pop world?

  • How can you possibly keep a straight face? Seriously, too funny.

  • Sir, You win on so many levels.

  • Haha good stuff.

  • omf this is fucking awesome:D

  • Clever. It made me laugh........ in a gentlemanly way that is.

  • may i direct yourr atention to DLandonCole's new vid? ; watch?v=j_W3NGiZYx0

i think it might just be your cup of tea.

  • Wisdom.

  • @Djsouthpaw1987 Wow, you're an idiot.

  • @Nykytyne2 That may be, but it's irrelevant to my taste in youtube videos, if you feel i was being insensitive, then grow a thicker skin m8.

I love your vids on many topics, but yeah, i'm expressing my opinion as a subscriber to your channel in this case, I'd much rather you thank me for that..

But i shouldn't engage in wishful thinking anymore than you should, regarding the convenience of a large audience. Like it or not, you're in a politicians shoes, pleasing the most subscribers possible.

  • @Nykytyne2 on further review (reading the actual description at least) i see that your video was comedic in nature.. kinda. 4chan;esque.. thought you were actually doing serious poetry when i wrote the first comment, and didn't bother to listen ^^... sry bout that. however. my response... even though not completely relevant.. contains some good stuff =D

  • @Djsouthpaw1987 I voted this up and I want everyone to know

  • Seriously? Come on dude. Sartorial? Come onnnnn. The word sartorial is used to describe men's clothing. This song is sung by a bitch. Seriously man, come on. I mean, really. Come on.

  • @invisibleamerican haha your user name.

  • And, yet, it STILL sounds stupid.

    Hilarious!

  • i disagree with 'portable telecommunications devices', because when a noun is converted to an adjective it cannot be pluralized, thus should be corrected to 'telecommunication'. thank you.

  • I love you :D

  • How do I say "Holy shit this is amazing" in this improved prose version?

In another note, I wish I had such a developed and colorful vocabulary, but alas I was born, raised and still reside in Brazil so I believe my access to the ways in which this advanced communicative structure, which is to say easy access to verbose books in English and the experience of living in a country where that is the Mother Language, is obtained to be limited, that is without going out of my way, of course.

  • Interestingly...Tik-Toc...is a character in the original series of OZ books written by L. Frank Baum in the early 1900s. A mechanical man, who needs to be wound up, much like a clock. He is the main focus of one book -"Tik-Toc of OZ".

Why do I know this? My family had the complete set of ALL the OZ books, including those written by other authors after Baum's demise, who continued the series. Excellent reading:)

  • Loved it

  • The last 3000 views were mine. =)

  • lol this was really awesome :D

(and youtube suggests a video called "Couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo" ... wth xD)

  • i've watched this over 5 times already, it's just so awesome.

  • Finally a white people version that i can enjoy with the kids!

  • *snaps*

  • Good times! Reminds me of when Bill Maher translated Easy E into white. :)

  • I don't know why I found that so funny. I started crying with laughter.

  • LOL!

  • Clever you-that was fun. : D

  • Hahahah this made my day.

  • I would like to see you discuss the ethical implications of waking up in the morning and feeling like P. Diddy on ContraPoints.

  • now put it to music.

  • This should go viral. Maybe KeSha will tweet it?

  • Nerimon did an awesome series mocking idiotic song lyrics.

"Did my heart love till now, foreswear it, sight, For I never saw true beauty before this night".

The glory days of the English language have long since gone, we need a new language to reinvigorate and reinvent Anglo Saxon literature.

  • Nice.

  • love this

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP NIKOTINE!!!!

  • Brilliant job! I need a new keyboard.

  • "Dionysian ecstasy merge with the infinite"

I can die happy now that there has been a Nietzschean interpretation of a Keisha song (or is that die disturbed?).

  • @niriop I'd die happy. Neitzsche needed someone superficial and banal to mock him like most people need to get laid.

  • What are you talking about Nick is superior to all!

  • I can't believe I'm going to say this but...

I wish I knew the original lyrics of this song.

  • Disregard females, acquire currency.

  • indeed!make it pop!

  • Bill Maher did something like this.....I approve of your successful attempts, and request more.

  • mortality weighs on me as well...

  • LOL! Pop music, meet Shakespeare.

  • I laughed.

  • I can't stop laughing... oh, man...

  • I'm trying to expound my innermost appreciation and sincere belief that this was a profoundly fabulous piece of work worthy of the best forms of praise and a prose of which brought me great merriment without saying WIN!

  • O, joy. The festivaties of raving pleasure, how I long for thee.Against which a breeze in the morning, that awakes the soul, to the reality of being. Ta, ta, taliwhoe. Arrr !

  • Very clever and just hilarious!!

  • IF YOU CAN DO THIS TO GUCCI MANE YOU ARE THE MAN!

That's all I have to say about that...

  • win for purcell reference

  • awesome

  • How bout doing Rimbaud's "Drunken Boat" next?

You could bring it into the 21st cen?

The storm made bliss of my sea-borne awakenings.

Lighter than a cork, I danced on the waves

Which men call eternal rollers of victims,

For ten nights, without once missing the foolish eye of the harbor lights!

    OK...maybe not.

  • LOL how can anyone dislike this? I guess Ke$ha made 8 youtube accounts to hate on this :-/

  • interesting, but you seem to not know the meaning of some of this slang like "blowing up" phones which does not literally mean "expanding"

  • @ssskinner I'll be honest, I don't understand half the things Ke$ha says.

  • @Nykytyne2

    We should form a club.

  • @ssskinner lol good point

  • @ssskinner well what does "blowing up phones" mean?

  • @Herbarius it means getting a lot of phone calls

  • lolz this should have been on ContraPoints!

  • very clever, loved it.

  • Ke$ha is the poor man's Uffie.

  • you will have to do 50 cents P.I.M.P. Great video:P

  • Pretty cool idea. This could be expanded upon by miles. If you feel like putting some time into the video.

  • hahahahahaha great work!

  • Excellent . You have flare for writing. I'm surprised to see someone actually failed to see you are being humorous!

Here's an amusing example from "Tish & Pish: how to be the speakingness like Stephen Fry" by Stewart Ferris (I'm not recommending the book because the book's not that funny):

    There's no place like home.

There exists no edifice, community or geographic area that can be said to compare favourably with the place at which one habitually resides.

  • @mousegeek

You have 'a' flare for writing :)

  • @mousegeek Actually it's 'flair.' I believe it can be used as a countable or uncountable noun, so it doesn't matter that you left out the indefinite article in your first post. (Oh balderdash, I'm becoming Nykytyne2!!)

  • @glynos

Oops! I always pick the wrong spelling :)

We were taught Latin at my school. Big mistake because very few people could understand us and employers immediate rejected my curriculum vitae. It wasn't until years later when I took English at night classes that life began to get easier :)

  • Oh Lord, this was brilliant XD

  • This video really needs more views. That prose rendition was hilarious and extremely well written also.

  • this needed some classical music in the background.

  • Simply exquisite.

  • Well done sir. That sounded as profoundly deep as The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.

  • LOL! Nicely done in all of your sartorial splendor.

  • God, nyk, you are the fucking man XD

  • Nykytyne2 lols are back!

  • I shall add this to my favorites list after bestowing upon it the proper thumbs up which it warrants and the completion of the comment I now currently write.

  • Brilliant!

  • WEREN'T you going to grow your fucking hair long?

  • GREAT!!!

  • Win.

  • ever since a few videos ago u transcended from this critical modern person to this balanced classical being... hmm

  • Please, please, please make a series of videos like this!

  • How can you do this with such a straight face?

  • this reminds me of the Dramatic Pokemon Theme Reading "Portable Atrocities"

  • Catchy.

  • @madjimms Exactly, because I'm obviously being completely serious here.

  • @Nykytyne2 Sorry, but it makes you sound like Bill O'Reilly on steroids.

  • @Nykytyne2 well dude, you're starting to talk like this when you are being serious. Isn't that the culture you admire most now?

  • @madjimms I do believe that this good man is indeed of superior seed-stock ... listening to his speech.

  • @DuGrail Anyone mere man can read from a speech...

  • @madjimms naah .. you just feel inferior if you meet someone with a greater command of the english language... that's normal, dont worry.

  • @herrbasan Oh yes, I feel so inferior to someone with a stick up his ass.

  • @madjimms You really need to get a sense of humor, dude. As far as I can tell, you're the one with a stick up his ass.

  • @ChrisTheAspergerGuy Sometimes I like to wear woman's panties & walk around 5th street.

  • @madjimms Huh, perhaps I was mistaken.

  • @madjimms That's because he is. :D

  • @madjimms The fact that Nykytyne's linguistics skills scared you into feeling inferior to him does not mean that he thinks he is superior to you.He probably is though!

  • @TheGibitzMachine Not really, I feel inferior to Carl Sagan & that's about it.

  • Bill Maher did something similar with rap. If you haven't seen it check it out.

  • That's was good.

  • This video is within one second of the length of Ke$ha's video. Nice timing!

  • So none of you realize this is not complimenting it, it is an ode to the fact that Tik Tok is an absolutely terrible song and basically heralded the destruction of society and reformation of it to what it has become today?

    lol you shitheads

  • I liked it. It sounded like a page out of someone's bizarre autobiography. But to be honest, the reworking of the refrain sounded forced. Other than that, though, it was interesting to hear.

  • What a brilliant version. Make a series!

  • Awesome, make some more.

  • your a feckin' genius

  • This is amazing.

  • Stunning... words fail me. A timeless masterpiece.

  • win! Joseph Ducreux would be proud<=

  • @Poisonfrogg I was waiting for someone to mention M. Ducreux!

  • @Nykytyne2 They see me driving my automobile. They are prejudice.

  • @Nykytyne2

    yes!! FTW

  • thumbs up for urban merriment!

  • wtb more post modernism

  • HOLY FUCK!!!! this reminds me of the 'rich white guy' meme...this is epic!!!

  • Fantastic! Bravo!

  • this was more hilarious than abby's :-D

  • Beautiful literature.

  • Bravo, sir!

  • Quite possibly the best thing I have seen/heard and will do this week.

    More!

  • oh darling............

  • This is wonderful.

  • Absolutely brilliant! Something keeps on resonating at like 800Hz though really annoying.

  • @ultimateinfinite You are curiously perceptive and correct, as far as I can tell, as there was an annoying buzz coming through my speakers on this video, yet I could not tell 754Hz from 801Hz if my dinner depended on it.

  • @gedgetips Haha, I am a sound engineer :-) . For reasons like this, sometimes I really hate it. x

  • That was life-changing.

  • If I may interject, Nicolas, I wonder if you might pontificate on the ages-old controversy regarding the nature of bitchez being both that of a trick and a ho.

  • 2 people disliked this? Seriously?!?

  • I just realised the Dali painting in the background. How you moisten my loins anew!

  • I happen to think this is a great improvement. I laud you!

  • I feel like dancing on a table with Oscar Wilde.

  • Best....vid......ever

  • Indeed a marked improvement over the original, Nick. :)

  • Lol

  • 99% more interesting and somewhat creative this way!

  • Haha, this made my day. I agree that classical music would have set the mood for this work of art. The straight face was epic, I couldn't keep a straight face for that long for this video. lol

  • Verily, I praise thy accomplishment, and intend to let thee finish, but Beyonce hath produced the most exquisite prose that was e'er conceived.

  • what about "the party doesn't start till I walk in" ?

  • you have truly moved me. thank you.

  • This like how Jane Austen would have wrote it

  • LFMAO. this was so epic. you should make a series dedicated to this

  • Genius! haha

No idea how you kept a straight face reading it.

  • Needed some classical playing in the background.

Something with strings would've set it off nicely.

  • @ShallowBeThyGames hahahaha yes this was crying for the joyous pomposity the like likes of which none could deliver better than Handel.....see if this fits what you were looking for: watch?v=3Nvg8eQnjPs

  • omg.

  • At frst I thought you were doing "Boys In The Hood" by Dynamite hack. Perhaps you should do that next!

  • WAKE up in the MORning and my BREATH ain't PREtty / and noBODY'S gonna KISS me if my MOUTH smells SHItty / so I ALways brush my TEETH before I START on the JACK / sure, my DRINKing's out of HAND, but I'm conTROLLing my PLAQUE.

    /xkcd

  • This is just a rip off of P.Diddy by Kesha

  • @riddleman65

    Rip off? Its a parody.

  • @riddleman65

There are two mistakes in your comment, Troll.

#1. You're reffering to "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha. Get your facts straight.

#2. It's a parody. Not a rip off. He said he was improving it, not that it was his original idea.

    Idiot.

I don't know why I'm explaining this to someone too moronic to figure it out themself.

  • buwahaha

    amazing stuff!

How could you keep such a straight face :P

  • Ke$ha made bearable. Impressive. I propose an even more astonishing feat would be to accomplish the same with Bieber.

  • A single tear rolled down my cheek as I was watching this.

  • Fascinating, just fascinating! You should attempt to sing it in sync with the music. Then again, it would have to be sung really fast...

  • Almost better than Chrispy's Dubstep version.
