I never had a problem with the black top motor I also had a pair of 12" factory black tops, no comp grad sub is ment to be musical, one person says something dumb on the net and it spreads like fire.
I hope you would answer this question if you have the time. How did the subwoofer sound? I heard all over caco, ca etc that the black top trf isn't musical bc it has a tighter motor gap. But what was your personal thoughts on this. Did your subwoofer get loud, low. Did it sound good on music at all. Thanks!
@burriesci20 i know right too bad i burned the amp up when it was like 95 out. i had the 1800 up front, 1800 in the back 2400 in the back and an 800 in the back too, voltage was a 12.7 when she smoked. i was pissed. but i just ordered a pair of 18" baskets and recones for mmats juggernauts yesturday, so there going into the back seat upfiring this time, im done fucking around with little shit or setups within lower classes for comp
@bearsfootball72 im going all street-beat in this one 2 8" aeros @28 hz box will be 8.5 cubes amp isnt set in stone yet but im likely trading a guy my blown adassa and $50 for an RD 3250 V1, cant complain with that the re-cones are for just 1000W each so i can wad power to them for a ton of excursion. ill get vids up hopefully by the end of september with it running.
@epiphonesg007 yeah this was my first recone i got some help from a guy that has done a few more than me. yeah if it was done the pretty way it probably wouldnt have held.
i dont have the van anymore I had to sell it because the motor was gone. I sold the subs and the rockford amp for $800 which i got a pretty good deal on. my friend colby in ogdensburg has a 10" eclipse so ill just start all over with that.
@jesseadkins187 car is complete junk i have since sealed a leak in the box and tightened down the doors and the trunk some, i need to build my own box for it and see if that helps.
